Bear was a decent guest, the ending with the Cameo and edited scene were also neat. Josh, as always, tried to stun the fun out of me with his bullshit forced laugh. If the fat fag could just rein in that one aspect he would go from 'living cancer' to merely 'he sucks'.

Josh and Dennis Miller should be locked in a windowless room so they can obscure reference each other to death.

That fat joyless fuck seriously mentioned John Popper in 2025. Totally pulled an emergency brake on the fun conversation.

Watching the new BotW

They're reading the back of the The Apple blu ray case and say how the villain's name is Mr. Boogaloo. Josh chimes in the background and says "we're going to get cancelled again, aren't we?"

This is gonna be a long episode.

I haven't heard the term "boogaloo" in at least 5 years and it wasn't even used all that much then, from what I remember. That reference must've flown over 99% of their audience's heads anyway.

He's probably one of those fags that tried to cancel wendigoon because he's Christian he made a Facebook group called "boogaloo boys"

Boogalow isn't pronounced "boogaloo," but that wouldn't be corrected until they watched the movie; it's against the rules to point that out, as "yes, and..." is the iron law of improv. Given that circumstance, riffing about cancellation was the only choice while in the presence of a retard [McCreary] who can't read.

Wait I thought it was Boogaloo because this is a movie from 1980, and before it was a code word for societal collapse the Boogaloo was a dance move that was shortened to "Boogie" (not the fat guy) during the disco era.

All that to say I didn't consider it farfetched for the evil music mogul to have a corny dance reference name. If it's actually Boogalow is that just the same joke but they made it 'low' instead of 'loo' to really drive home the point that he's the bad guy?

It’s also a recycled joke from when they did Breakin’ 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Josh remains a cancer.

I’d never heard of this guest, but I like that he brought something different because of his skill set. Polishing a scene or two from one of these turds is fun to watch. I wish they could make that a series, instead of just “fixing” things from a writing standpoint. That’s overdone, we all do that with friends when we’re done watching a show or movie that fell short.

Considering that Joss Ackland was Hippie Leader/Mr. Topps/God, the "low" part of Mr. Boogalow places him in opposition as the devil.

There actually was a scene at the beginning of The Apple that established the God character in the garden of Eden but it got cut because none of the animals were cooperating. I think the movie's trailer had some shots of it.

Been a couple of good BotW's lately. Last one made me wanna watch Blazin', and now im intrigued by The Apple.
I'm telling you the Apple sucks. It's not good-bad.

I always thought the girl in it looked like a wookie some, weird face. And in this vid she looked really good as milf, better, I think, than she did in the movie which is crazy.

It's really the worst of that 70s disco-tech style without any good songs. Kind of a weird mix of THX-1138 and Logan's Run visually and thematically, but with bad songs. The SW-Holiday Specially has better music imo, it's in that general style.

ETA it's also kind of like Rock n Rule in way with those above. But that had 1 good song and some good animation,, but overall a bad time. Rock n FRule full on Youtube free, it really is the same Canadian late 70s/early 80s style https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL4uSz1s-rY (that's not the whole thing anymoe sadly, but kind of it) Heavy Metal was a bit after it but had some of it left.

I would say that if anyone is curious about The Apple, watch the Rifftrax version -- it's cut down a bit and you don't have to suffer through your own thoughts while watching it.

Mary Catherine Stewart was pretty cute in The Last Starfighter, but she was a bit older when that was shot.
