So I just found this video, been out for a year though:
TL; DW not only is there hentai on the Switch, it appears all over the current releases list with no way to filter it. Steam has a bunch of filtering options and parental controls but the Switch doesn't, the guy even made a child account, logged in and all the hentai was still there in the game list. As a kid he couldn't install it without a parental ok though.
It's legit one of the most shocking things I've seen in the game industry. Porn was Yamauchi's original red line, Nintendo of Japan was much less censorious than in the US but they felt that sexual content would indelibly stain the reputation of their company. I guess there were a lot more Allison Rapps working there that they didn't fire. Have they ever made any public statement as to why they're relaxing these standards or has it just been a silent change over time?
The guy in the video also points out that the discoverability of games in the Switch library is utterly abysmal which isn't going to help Nintendo if they want to boost their sales.
