I think therapists need to come up with some sort of cattle personality disorder. I can't possibly imagine how you can follow people like Jason if you are:

It's an interesting rpg type game that kind of switches up the standard rpg gameplay tropes and narratively there's a bit of intrigue and depth

I looked at a play through for heart bound and I'll say one thing: They did put some effort into the logo scene where the kid is hanging like it's crucified.

Besides that it's like Pokemon with dialogue, but without the battles. Also, it's a very alienating game. You wake up in a thunderstorm and your dog wants you to cook breakfast? I don't get it.

He's trying to cope the cold-open style of the games he's trying to rip off, like Earthbound, underrale and deltarune which all start you in an unassuming cold open like that.

Well yes but there is a limit to everything. In Jason's case you can just look at the release date of Shartbound, notice it's still in EA, do a little math and your illusion of Jason being super developer is shattered. If you think "my twitch exploded" is a good enough excuse you're brain damaged. So to be a fan of PS you need to be either completely ignorant or retarded.

Reminds me of this stream mentioned a while ago which I found very entertaining:

there's this guy called Armcha1r Expert he did a whole stream about Maldy, his brand and his pit falls. it's pretty safe-ish content, he looks at it from a PR perspective.

Obligatory warning that it's a long stream that's all information that regulars to this thread know already, though I enjoyed this angle enough to use it as background noise despite knowing most of the story. Also especially for this point in time I should mention the creator, Armcha1r Expert, is VTuber-adjacent with a few of the suspect takes you'd expect from the qualifier, but those are unrelated to and thankfully don't bleed through in this specific stream. He's got another Pirate Software stream scheduled to happen soon and I'm hoping it's just as good.
