I know I might be in the minority, but I do think they are legally married. A lot of what Chantal described matched up with a few accounts I've read from foreigners/tourists who managed to get married in Kuwait. It really just seems up to the individual judge's discretion.

I believe her secrecy about the certificate stems from the fact that they were cohabitating illegally from November 2022 until January 2023. That's undeniable and why Salah didn't want her to show or discuss their certificate, because he knew he'd be in big shit. I think it's also a big reason why he bugged out of Kuwait so fast after PAWS initiated that investigation into them.
