Yup. This isn't complicated. Monty made an appeal for new funds after he appointed Hardin. I forget if it was before or after that bullshit filing Nick's lawyer did. That didn't result in much, no where near what he asked, dropped the case citing lack of funds. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, chances are it's a duck.

It's for the best. Nick is broke. His house is in a trust. Even if Monty won, he wasn't even getting fees back, let alone damages.

Monty would, obviously, have known discovery was part of the suit for a long time.

He would have dropped the lawsuit immediately as soon as he learnt about discovery, if he didn't already know it would be a part of it. Otherwise, he'd be wasting money just to keep the suit going knowing he was going to drop it before discovery anyway.

I get five kids, maybe all with college dreams, can be very expensive; but doing some investing with a 529 Account at birth or when they're still young at least; yeah you get up front costs, but by the time they're college age, that money turned into something more to help cover the costs. If Celeste is having a part of it, Nick could've phrased it better; but seeing how he didn't, I'm guessing the kids are gonna have to beg Dame Rekieta since daddy is a piece of shit.
