Don't feel bad, I'm pretty sure TheAlmightyLoli and Rev Says Desu blend together in most people's minds. I remember a few months back thinking that TAL was the guy larping as an anime girl, but that was actually Rev.

It's gonna depend more on how far away you'll be & what you need it for. You can buy high end TV's with high refresh rates that don't have that ad shit baked into it but you'll be paying as much, if not more than a high end monitor. If you're getting it specifically for movies you can get cheaper, older models of 65+ inch 4K TV's for cheap now. I have an old, cheaper Samsung I bought years ago & it works fine with no ads & it's not hooked to the Internet.

i get why he talks about it but nothing sucks the soul out of me and makes me feel like i ran a long ass marathon than when he starts bringing up kid / child abuse shit.
 
My half awake ass was reminded it's 7/11 today by stream and then my vivid memories of the found footage style 7/11 ads with miku from over a decade ago

EDIT: Should also bring up that these ads are what de-mystified the JP 7/11 for me because the 7/11 in these is laid out exactly the same as the ones by me that are manned by mexicans or jeets.

Also JP war crimes are fun nightmares, there's actually some jap media that just casually brings some of them up. A few years ago a friend was streaming me some japanese thing he wanted to show me and then one of the characters suddenly started bringing up instances of cannibalism by ww2 japanese soldiers. Wish I could remember what the thing was called right now.
 
It might be important to point this out but Rev says desu's persona is a "goth gf" gooner version of an anime character from something called "love live" named niko who was a meme years ago.
 
The fact that they know to say (lie) "I am not personally into loli" before defending it shows that they know it's BAD. Otherwise they wouldn't have to preface it with that at all.
