Medicare is age based, primarily. Medicaid is needs based. The new requirement of 80 hrs a month working or volunteering is only for Medicaid, and only for able bodied people with no dependents. If you're old, fucked up, or a full time caregiver, you're exempt. If you're a lazy ass, scamming unemployment until it runs out, you're going to have to volunteer at a suicide hotline for libtards or something.

I think it’s more the “try hard hip” era from 08-15 where NPCs would see Joe Biden on Parks and Rec. Michelle Obama on Oprah. Barack on Letterman. Morons like the ones at Buzzfeed thought these are “cool politicians” compared to Santorum. Then a majority of the nation realized it was all fake and gay and the Obamas are culturally irrelevant.

Just wanted to talk Elon and the “libertarian” movement. Elon is depressed that he got kicked out, and rightfully so. Elon also got a first hand lesson in what is true power. All the money in the world could not save Elon from Trump.

Elon had an autistic moment when he realized he was not going to benefit from any of Trump’s initiatives. He should have seen it though when Trump removed Vivek after the H1B disaster. Elon thought that by doing DOGE, even with all that happened to Tesla, he would be given something. What Elon was expecting was a cheaper work force.

When manufacturing companies start suffering losses and projected outcomes year over year lessen, the playbook is get rid of the newly hired people, retire the tenured people with full benefits, and import a cheap work force (hello India) across all levels from operations to management to lessen all costs across the board. Tesla falls in all these categories since 2024 they have been following this playbook. This time though, these companies aren’t getting that lifeline. Foreign born jobs continue to decline as these visas are not easy to come by. So Elon was thinking this was a quid pro quo, when it was “thanks for volunteering Elon!”.

Now, the libertarians and their party are salivating at the thought of Elon Musk leading the way. However, libertarians in their quest for their “puritanical control” don’t realize Elon is not the one to align yourself with since he is efficiency based. Meaning he think America’s problems are all efficiency based and he would import an entire group from India to take over the IRS, which Elon would rename anyway. Libertarians will sell this nation to the highest international bidder as long as they have the keys to the moral control of the nation.

Elon would also not want to align with libertarians because all you have to do is ask a libertarian any questions regarding age of consent and they flame out. Trump can have Ross Ulbricht speak and libertarians also lose. Trump can announce the he is securing the American economy through Bitcoin and libertarians will fall in line.

Elon should have learned from RFK Jr.. Happy 4th of July everyone!

If nothing else, this bill has highlighted just how few people understand the difference between Medicare and Medicaid and treat them as the exact same service.

What possible financial benefit to the shareholders does the board of Reddit believe emerges from allowing this person to wield editorial control over millions of users to enforce political viewpoints opposed by a supermajority of the country and world?

After the wet fart that was the "No Kings" protest, and the unorganised chaotic messes that organic protests (then riots) are, I'm beginning to think George Soros was carrying the entire American Left-wing on his back. It doesn't matter how much money you throw into something, if you don't spend it wisely or organise that shit properly, you may as well have done nothing.

True! I realized my lack of knowledge made me pretty prone to manipulation which is why I asked. Very much appreciate @Srumab who posted the actual part of the BBB regarding this. Hope you're not hung over today brotha.

Even with these restrictions getting Medicaid seems ridiculously easy to get. Even when I didnt have a job for a few months and was just babysitting my niece two days a week. I was making the income to hit my min wage * 80 so I would've been eligible.

The only people truly harmed by this are worthless NEETs and illegals who cant file taxes so they cant prove it. But leftists say they dont recieve these benefits anyway, so who cares?
