I acknowledge Jason is an adult, but for the purposes of empathy and understanding, I don't think it's intellectually honest to just go "He's a dick!' and move on. As we saw in the Dr. K video, there's some kind of mental immune system kicking in when he feels like someone says he might be wrong or even worse (to Jason, anyway), he could be right and people would still be upset.

In children, this behavior can be indicative of a dynamic at home where one or both of the parents might do that thing where they say "Your feelings don't matter, what matters is the facts." and then the kid expects the whole world to work that way, and gets upset when they're expected to behave differently. It can feel unfair that at home your father might say "It doesn't matter that you're upset. I'm correct. Here's why. See?" but then at school the teacher tells you you need to apologize to Britney for hurting her feelings when you told her unicorns aren't real.

A lot of MMOs seem to be doing similar stuff. I recently got back into Phantasy Star Online 2 when I found out they didn't kill the OG game with the release of NGS and its practically just a single player game with social areas and the occasional choice to have a friend join you in the game. All the main quests are cutscenes that instance you in a solo lobby anyways I just do not ever buy the argument that it is IMPOSSIBLE to make an MMO single player.

Nah DW that makes sense to me as a fellow retard, mostly was confused because private servers are much more common on PC compared to consoles. if they can make it so they have to build in that server redirection in game that would be great. consoles are already becoming like pc with shit like physical games being just a key for digital downloads so why not at least get some of the benefits.

Slightly disappointed that the 1 million mark didn't happen on the 4th of July just for the irony of it being an EU incitive and all.

I'm pretty sure I used to play on custom servers on Battlefield 3 on PS3 back in the day, as I clearly remember their overly specific names mentioning game mode, respawn rules etc. while in Battlefield Bad Company 2 (earlier in the series) you'd just pick a game mode and you wouldn't even know the server.

I'm not sure if that was just EA renting customizable servers to players, while they still retained ownership/control of the backend code and server admin could just modify a few things, though

I don't want to have to edit my post again. Have this though, this shows that he did leak his DMs in his Discord since they're word for word what was on that reddit post not too long ago.

Full DM^, it's literally just moistcritikal trying to correct Mald that he may have "unintentionally" gotten stuff objectively wrong about SKG in his previous videos. Meanwhile, Mald is saying "penguinz0 was only "stating an opinion" therefore he is free to disagree with the truth and that his behaviour is reminiscent of highschool(which is a rather tame insult).

You can look back at the onlyfangs/ashes of creation piratesoftware drama to appreciate just how much of an ass Mald can be, from berating brand new players for being noob to blaming everyone but himself when he made a mistake, banning anyone who pointed out that he made a mistake in the chat.

While that is all fine and good but after a certain point you no longer get this excuse. He has had plenty of time to get over his problems and identify his weaknesses and address them like the rest of us. But no he got handed everything on a platter even his fucking job so he never had to grow or adapt and now that he's finally without a shield it really fucking shows. He has been able to spend his entire life doubling down and since he is the boss's son no one could call him on it.
