Such as? Genuinely curious, I recent historiography has steadily made the introduction of many Chinese technologies into Europe centuries prior to the Crusades, though obviously the Mongols stabilizing the Silk Road for a century would help in any event.

They were savage though, even by contemporary standards. But savagery and refinement aren't mutually exclusive.

Iirc it is mostly boring stuff like primitive printing methods, and maybe they introduced gunpowder? Europe certainly didn't get it through the Middle East as they had cultural views against its use, even into the 16th century and the first European mention of the stuff was years after fighting the Mongols where they probably used it against them.

TBH, the three people in that thumbnail have issues worth discussing (many of which were done in this thread numerous times), but I have very little faith in Fredda.
