Yeah, the voice changer is probably doing a lot of the work in reinforcing in young people's minds that's he's credible. It doesn't seem to matter that he looks like he's been badly dubbed by Markiplier, kids will be drawn to it. The personality matters more than the facts.

Played with a Finn in ArmA. Great guy, used to have to pause and go have a dick measuring contest with the Russian army on occasion. Legitimately these smaller nations probably have a higher ratio of hobby gamers (not just phone gatcha bullshit) than people would realize. It helps that there's a high proficiency in English as well, and a good economy.

I sincerely doubt he got swatted. People hate his smugness, but he wasn't even streaming when he allegedly got swatted. What sense would it make to swat him off stream? There's no payoff. If it were anyone else maybe, but I just don't believe shit that boy says, especially not when it has to do with him being the victim in a situation.

It's interesting to see that post as essentially being a call to arms for people to enact the change they want to see in an industry. Fast forward a year and he's seething and malding about a guy who decided to do that very thing.
That and Mald likes to bang his gavel and have the final word on things. That's why when people argue with him (and especially when they don't move the goal post but stay firm and reiterate the same point over and over to him), he shuts down and disengages. This is why his orbiters keep asking him to talk directly with Ross and he petulantly says "not interested."

Exactly. It isn't actually "Libertarian" according to their beliefs. Its tactically done only when they think it'll benefit them and ignored with it doesn't. I use the term "Lolbertarian" not as a derogatory term for Libertarians in general, but for the ones who promote untenable and unpersuasive ideas in defense of corporate mega giants. Things like "free speech is secondary to a corporation's ability to run their own platform" etc. The braindead shit that is impossible to take seriously. Mentioning consumer rights to them makes them scratch their heads, but big corpos heavily linked to the government are allowed to do whatever they want all the time.
