When I was browsing /v/ last week, it looked like most people were on board. There were the typical contrarians, though most of them seemed like obvious bait. Of course, more recently users here mentioned that the threads are getting spammed with CP and gore now, so I wouldn't be surprised if the only people still around are the sick fucks who would hitch themselves to Mr. Fagtree.

It's less about patches/security fixes and more about the license activation server.

If Microsoft takes them down, it'll become impossible to activate windows legitimately and you'll get the impact of trial mode not working.

SKG would force Microsoft to either provide a working Windows version without a license check, or an offline license check, or to keep the activation servers up forever.

The latter is what they've been doing, and I doubt they'll change that anytime soon.

It kinda settled down. It's clear that the vast majority of people browsing /v/ are for it, then you just have people trolling and some contrarian faggots. Also jannies have stopped going after threads mostly. Someone posted on /v/ earlier that jannies apparently got shat on in IRC.

I think it's more likely they're actual corpo shills/2cent army pajeets or chinks.

Retards on 4chan would rather die than admit how well known and mainstream the site has become, doubly so after 2016.

Part of the reason I stopped using the sites was just the insane amounts of clearly paid shills and bots, and it's hilariously easy to get some corporate monkey to anonymously spam garbage to silence dissenting discussions.

Yeah, the 2019's EU Digital Directive already makes the distinction between software sold indefinitely sold and subscriptions with a set time, so any new SKG law would also take that into account. So Adobe would be unaffected on their grift.

You underestimate the allure of joining the winning team. The brit count is still going strong despite hitting 100k, now at 109k approaching 110k in about 3 hours less than an hour at the current rate.

It always being exactly on the hour, and not being off by a few seconds or minutes here and there makes me think this is shitty math more than it is botting.

The website's JS and backend are getting actively updated, one of the new updates in the past few hours is that the daily average isn't over the entire data set, but over the last day. It used to say about 5500, but now it says 132450.

It's possible that the graph counter has been updated to fuck around less at hours now.

Not to say there isn't botting, but it's unlikely that this pattern is.
