Ross is one of the most underrated content creators on YouTube. His Game Dungeon series is very comfy to watch and even convinced me to pick up and play some of the games he featured such as Strife or Puzzle Agent.

Dude is the very opposite of most other creators featured here on the farms, he knows how to be humble and makes content on his own terms for fun without ever getting involved in shit-spewing drama. It's a breath of fresh air.

I doubt that they would make subscriptions part of the law, as the terms are clear: you own a license to a product for a temporary time, and the license has a clear end date.
As long as the license is active, you need to own the software, but they could just stop selling the license, wait for everybody who has an active license to expire, then shut down old software, that would in theory be perfectly aligned with SKG.

Just to be clear i don't have a general issue with licenses to a subscription, what I take issue with are the cases where an advertised "lifetime subscription" is retroactively borked for the purpose of getting people into a monthly/yearly subscription.
This is why i consider windows out of the equation, windows will still boot and run even though you wont have patches and security fixes.
Keeping the activation servers up is definitely an issue in this scenario.
