For some reason I was able to get the video audio for his deleted VOD so I decided to try to get the VOD again.

A dropped connection doesn't remove videos. After doing this, Mald was still saying he stands by everything he's said which is why he's left up his SKG content from before.

It does seem like they aren't as close as they used to be, searching on x/nitter, he used to interact with Mald more in 2024. Did Prime get tired of sweeping after Mald got more heat recently, and hung up the broom?

That random podcast pilot they put out recently was filmed ages ago and was out of date. Prime's new podcast, The Standup, he does with other tech youtubers like Casey Muratori, hasn't had Mald make an appearance at all.

Furthermore, Prime and a group of programming content creators recently did a week long 24/7 stream project where the gimmick was creating a full tower defense game using AI tools to see if they work or not. Why wasn't the world's greatest gamedev invited? Wouldn't that be his wheel house? Does Mald want people to think he's working on Heartbound so he can't go do these long collaboration projects anymore?

The Stop Killing Games video has been posted on the r/theprimeagen subreddit which he uses for stream react content and has received some comments and traction, so who knows if he reacts to it and if it even ends up on his channel. Prime is arguably the most popular programming streamer on Twitch, his videos do very well on YouTube with views in the hundreds of thousands, but he doesn't really have alogs who hate watch for clips so if his response gets lost in a Twitch stream, I doubt it will get archived, even if a lot of the audience disagrees with his take:

I think mald's orbiters are starting to shit up the comments. I'm seeing more comments like "you're misrepresenting what Thor said" and "it's impossible to preserve games because IP rights and server infrastructure can't be transferred".

Now that I think about it, a Content Cop video on him would be a phenomenal boost for SKG. People who never even heard of Figtree or Ross would all of a sudden be faced with the moral dilemma of killing videogames.
Thing is, who would even do a video like that properly, so it's both educational and funny but also doesn't pull punches with Mald like Ross did?

Even though recently Valve came out like "Here's the entirety of Team Fortress 2 - server and client source code and an updated SDK, do what you want with it, but it has to be free."
But I guess preserving and giving an old game to the community is impossible, huh?

Those mouth breathers would claim Valve is the exception, and that we can't expect or force every developer and publisher to do the same.
