Using AI for prototyping is retarded. Just go for any site like itch.io/opengameart.org and download one of many available free packs.
There is additional benefit that if you get somewhere with your game, you have contacts to someone whom you can commission to produce more assets that will be consistent with overall style. Something that AI cannot really do reliably.

I feel really bad for Ross, he doesn't deserve any of this. Jason's weird dissection of the "politicians like easy wins" line really fucking bothers me because it refuses to engage with reality as it exists. He seems to have this strange just-world delusion that because a certain conception of something is "right", that it's also the only solution worth pursuing. That sort of inflexibility and inability to understand the game of politics and the behavioral inclinations of people is one of the biggest reasons we have a lot of the legislative deadlocking we do right now.

Even if we assume he's not acting duplicitously and in bad faith, it's a classic case of a hyper-idealist caring more about projecting a sense of virtuousness than actually getting anything fucking done. Wanting to be the captain of the sinking ship, and all that.

I like the video, though I feel it's a bit too long and overpacked and that may turn off a significant amount of people who aren't really invested.

Ross mentions he regretted not leaning into the drama aspect, and it makes me wonder if the significant PirateSoftware section was built to help distribute the information through the drama slop pipeline. Whether intentional or not, I hope it works. Even if this specific campaign fails, getting many eyes on the issue and its specifics is at least a step in the right direction.

To add further context, hardcore in world of warcraft means that your character has one life and once you die you have to relevel a new character which takes at least 100h if you're not familiar with the game. He did absolutely nothing to help, ran away to save himself (referred to as a roach or roaching out) and refused to admit any fault. Other streamers, especially the guy in the first clip called YamatosDeath are upset while Pirate is in full damage control mode - refusing to take even a modicum of accountability.
