The only quasi-win I can get from this is arguing that the UK moving planes to the Middle East means America is going to, since the UK just copies America. I was way off about the announcement of deeper involvement but still.

Only thing to cope/be optimistic about now is how Trump specified the pilots were coming home and now that it was "time for peace", meaning Iran might sit at the table with America and, in a very broad definition, "surrender", since it's not directly to Israel. Maybe negotiate the nuclear stuff now, finally.

If this ends up being over by Monday however, I'd be pleasantly surprised since it means Israel was privy to something since Thursday at least, since they're allowing people to fly again by then. (Another dumb prediction I made was that it would be over by this Monday in the Israel/Iran war thread)

Saturday = bombed
Sunday = react
Monday = call for ceasefire
:optimistic:

as we all expected: An air strike. a big one in proper Trumpian fashion. I'd be very surprised if it extends past airstrikes. to do a proper invasion will take months to prepare. and a massive surge of troops to the region. Hundreds of thousands. which has not happened.

Not going to make any predictions but what will happen next is up to the Iranian government. Their response is everything right now.

Are people seriously freaking out over a literal nothingburger? Christ doompillers havent learnt shit from the Solemani bombing
My main problem is that we have literally zero fucking interest in the Middle East and we mocked the Ukraine conflict because of the same shit. The only difference is that Israel is in the middle and we are supposed to care for some reason.

We have been bombing them for decades and it keeps getting worse there.

That he's so casual about this makes me suspect that the USAF must believe they truly buckbroke the Iranian nuke program with these strikes, and so they have no choice but to come to the negotiating table.

Iran having nothing left has to be propaganda. They have a shit ton of mountain missile bunkers that have thousands of missiles inside. It's the same tier of propaganda of "Russia running out of ammunition" from way back in 2022. Israel already made it illegal to film missile strikes and the US already evacuated personnel.
we'll see what happens over the next few days and weeks, then we'll know how much gas they have left in the tank

Iran can also close the strait of Hormuz and cripple the world economy, alongside the price of oil.
there's a us carrier group in the area, no? i don't think irans navy has the ability to close the straits if the us navy wants to keep them open.

All of the wildly Pro-Trump people in this thread still haven't explained how bombing Iran is good for Americans in any way. You guys are coping just as hard as the Dems sabout heir shitty decisions.
