Calling it a "brilliant game" isn't too far off considering the game has won a handful of awards and is often found on greatest of all time lists. As for changing the industry he's completely lost the plot, indie games started to gain popularity around 2008 with games like Braid, Spelunky, Dwarf Fortess, Super Meat Boy and IndieGame: The Movie. Then the big indie spike was in 2011 with Minecraft, and a couple other popular games like Terraria and The Binding of Isaac which further confirmed to any aspiring developers that indie games were on the rise.

Undertale started development in early 2013, it's a product of the games that did actually "change the entire industry," just looking at the charts of games released on Steam makes that clear.

Like you said, unless you know what you're doing and monitoring the traffic. For p2p, 6881-9 is just the frontend port for whatever port you're forwarding in the client itself. If you've bound your VPN to the client's interface, it uses port 0 interestingly.

For hosting game servers I think port 8888 is reserved / preferred, and again, normies should be (but don't) monitor this shit. On 8888 you can just isolate it so it doesn't interact with your LAN beyond the processes provided via that port (same with p2p - worst case scenario, a threat actor can only abuse the client). This is assuming, again, everything on the router it set up properly.

No, the guy asking the question only mentions "family life," Mald takes that and jumps to "you have kids" which is not what the guy said in the slightest. Mald's just doing what he always does and hears a question, then reinterprets it in a way he can answer it and sound smart. Ironically this would have been a good moment for Mald to show off one of his early builds of Heartbound and talk about he went about making and implementing the placeholder art for his own game. Though, he does try to avoid thinking about Heartbound so I can see why he wouldn't do that.

Watch as the great Fagtree once again takes a simple question, "is this game good?" and replies with "I can't answer that for you." Then proceeds to answer a different question, going back to the old faithful false equivalence.

I'm not even in game development but just from doing shit in general when I have something I don't need to keep / just in case I forget I name it DELETEME just to go through and clean house on my PC occasionally.
I can't imagine not being able to prototype out an enemy because you have to wait for an art asset to be done before you can put it in.
I'd say that's why he can't finish a game in 8 years but I know that's not the reason its just bad idiotic advice.
