I genuinely hope he's doing alright. I used to read it and enjoyed it. I think he struggled with porn maybe as a lot of the comics had this back-and-forth wrestling with it theme. But the guy obviously had a good heart and prone to introspection. None of us really choose the beliefs we start off with but if you're intellectually honest you arrive at beliefs that you've worked out for yourself. That's good. But most of his comics these days really seem to be wrestling with how the world is and have pretty dark themes. I still really like his art and I respect his work. But it's too heavy for me these days. It's a long time since I've seen that little zen dude on the cloud or God's handpuppets or his cat and dog. I fear one or both of his pets have probably passed by now (I'm fairly sure the dog and cat were his actual pets).

He should and must draw what he feels and I really respect that he's still going strong despite being deplatformed for being critical of the Covid vax (seemed to around then). But I hope the guy takes a little time to go out and enjoy the world from time to time. We tend to feel whatever we focus on feeling.

I disagree. He has that bastarized understanding of American culture only foreigners can have and is real eager to smugly inform you of it.
He used Ronald McDonald and the Burger King and other fast food mascots to illustrate a point in one of his comics arguing big business is heartless and fake and gay and shit. Did he watch Supersize Me around the time he drew that? Ronald and the king haven't been relevant cultural icons in years. That shit feels so fucking dated I'd swear it came out of the late 2000s, not the early 2020s. And all his comics are like this, even his better ones. They're pretentious and full of themselves. If I didn't know any better I'd think his comics were parodies mocking whatever worldview its pushing. They don't feel real. If I wanted to bring somebody over to my view of things, I would not want to show them the political comic equivalent of sickeningly sweet candy. The shit is embarrassing.

Somehow he stumbled on Adam Greenberg streams and since then he went full on nip-wippopagan bandwagon.
I personally find it very amusing.
