Target's main audience leans left, but in actuality it was usually just more affluent because of the lack of lowest common denominator shoppers that Walmart has. We're talking a soft sort of liberal, and at least a little bit aware of that Michael Jordan quote of "you know Republicans buy shoes too.". Soft safe leaning on the left fence corpo-blob stuff sort of things.
They went harder into pride stuff, including selling themed stuff for kids, but that annoyed some of their customers, namely center-lefts who thought that was weird and conservative shoppers who saw it as proselytizing buggery to kids. That did some damage and started the boycott, but then they corrected back from that by purging it, which did more damage due to that about face being sudden, weak, and hamhanded.
Starbucks is similar in that it actually tries to stay apolitical mostly, but its usual go-tos are affluent lefty dickheads, and social climbing cunts in general. Oh and retards like Jack who like their mixed drinks and can't drop the Cali aspects from his carpet bagger ass.
