I think it's a little more complicated. The Arab states have a common goal with Israel, they don't want Iran with nukes. If they do, then Saudi Arabia will also try and get nukes and so on. Before you know it, you got a bunch of nuclear Muslim nations.
 
Two takeaways from Iran’s retaliatory strikes so far.

1. The ballistic missile strikes have been largely symbolic in nature targeting symbols of Israel’s military power (Ministry of Defence) rather than Israel’s ability to continue its air campaign against Israel.

2. Splitting today’s strikes into waves a couple of hours apart may be a sign that their capacity to launch larger waves has been significantly diminished by Israel’s strikes.

The larger the simultaneous BM strike, the more likely more missiles get through.

It's like the movie Airplane! joke about someone wanting something light to read, so they give them a pamphlet on 'Famour jewish sports legends.' On the surface it's funny because jews are incompetent, but it's a double sided joke meaning the jews have you do all the blue collar stuff for them that's why they are so out of shape.

Iranian sources claim they've struck 3 airbases, and the Israeli side has imposed strict censorship on media that would show evidence of these strikes.

It seems like Iran waited about 8 hours to launch the first wave of retaliatory strikes because they were reactivating air defense systems MOSSAD took down in the initial strike. Iran also uses propeller powered drones to weaken Israeli air defense systems before sending ballistic missiles. The prop planes take several hours to reach Israel so that probably explains the delay in waves better.
 
This popped up on a post about Iran bombing Tel Aviv, I like how the guy is saying "Why are you fighting like a cowardly Israeli? Instead you should be picking targets like the Israelis do!"
