Is she still taking T? If you take it long term at the standard dose it's supposed to stop menstrual cycles. That's half the appeal for a lot of the pooners we see in the zoo.

I tend to think you're right. You can see pieces of this pop up in the way she retells her issues with her parents.

She had issues with disordered eating: fuck you, mum, I actually have Celiacs and have to avoid food for days at a time and then gorge on junk food.

She had issues with keeping her room clean and presentable, a common issue for rich kids: fuck you, mum, I'm actually profoundly disabled and suffering from chronic fatigue

She had issues accepting negative feedback: fuck you, mum. I'm temporarily non verbal.

There's a lot more going on with her, because normal lazy rich kids don't wind up mutilating themselves like Vicky did. But I suspect a huge element of her behaviour stems from her lying about the reasons she is lazy and ill disciplined, and then doubling down on those lies when her parents questioned her. It's astounding to me that she got the sign off for the power chair from a fucking psychiatrist of all things, while all the doctors with relevant credentials told her she didn't need it. She really fucked up what would have been a very comfortable and sheltered life, pretty much for nothing.

In high enough doses, it’s a DELIRIANT. You know like “Delirium tremens”? Instead of seeing pretty colors and wavy walls, the hallucinations you experience feel and seem REAL.

If you’re some high schooler looking for a fun and easy trip, do not! A 12 hour delirium isn’t something I’d wish on my worst enemy. Save your money and go see some local hippies for a proper hallucinogen or whatever. Unless you’re Vicky in which case go right ahead. I want to see you drive your power chair into the river because you’re trying to escape from rats.

It does appear that's she's been taking out student loans and maxing out the amount she can take. She honestly would have been better off just maxing out several credit cards and defaulting if she wanted a year of tendies in bed and animal crossing that badly tbh.
The accessible apartment kabuki is a ploy to get her parents or the state of new York to provide her with a permanent free housing solution. Temp student sublets won't do because fall semester and the last stretch of her overextended grace period are approaching and she needs someplace she can't be evicted from.

My cousin probably permanently fucked himself up this way. Hard to say for sure because he was a "quirky guy" to start with. But during his Erowid phase when we were in high school, after eating his mom's plants and trying in vain to get his hands on some mushrooms, he took an entire box of some supposedly safer antihistamine along with a few shots of DXM, and spent the weekend screaming and trying to swat all the bugs while the walls melted.

To keep this on topic- Vicky, have you tried DXM? :thinking:
 
I think it's okay to realize that some people are just born fucked up, and they don't need a pathology behind it. There isn't a diagnosis, medication, program, or therapy that will ever fix a certain segment of the population--they are simply not compatible with life.

That provided shelter from brutal high-altitude conditions If she was actually on the street I'd give her a pass despite NY weather being pretty balmy right now, but we know she's not.

I wonder if her dream reflects some subconscious anxiety about not graduating, probably because failing would make the bank of Mum and Dad less generous. Or maybe she still thinks she can be a professor despite finding flat hunting grueling so actually wants to graduate eventually.

This is funny but it's got wheels: quicker, easier, and eventually more lucrative to just take the whole thing for a joyride, then sell or trade it to someone across town who lives a street lifestyle and wants a battlecruiser. No catalytic converter on a power chair, either.

and some people in this thread thought Vicky wasn’t taking opiates. I’m putting her down for adderall, opiates, benzos and an array of psych drugs. I think all the health nonsense is just her cover story for being an insurance covered drug addict. Can’t take that power chair down to the Bronx to cop good shit, nor is she social enough to get good hook ups from other NYU students. Imagine Vicky rolling up in her power chair begging you to get her some fent for her EDS.
