It’s OK that they’re being fair to Kayla. I don’t doubt that the ball(do) of dysfunction that she married turned her to this path.

But she walked the path, when she COULD turn away.
 
I'm not sure if she normally sounds like this, but you can hear the emotion come out of her voice when talking about Kayla. At the very least, it makes her sound authentic. Cokey must be losing his mind.

This obviously hurt her a lot to be around something like this. I can imagine that it opened a lot of old wounds for her. She seems really sweet and it's a shame that Nick treats her like some super villian.
