Also, whether these photos are authentic or not, none of them seem to contradict the overall characterization of the house from the transcripts.

If he showed only good photos, he wouldn’t be able to claim he’s being truthful, so he showed some bad one and some good ones. I’d argue the one with the cat looks like the house is in the process of being cleaned. That room is eerie in his plan and undercoated it is

If you volunteer information to police after invoking your right to remain silent, you've waived your right to remain silent and have to specifically and unambiguously invoke it again. That's the federal standard under the Fifth Amendment, but state standards might be different (i.e. more protective of suspects).
