I imagine a number of SJWs are well-off, and living in places lacking unrestricted mass immigration, so they are not personally impacted by the rising crime rates brought by quite a number of military aged migrants "refugees" from undeveloped countries. That, or they do experience such increased crime... but have "cognitive dissonance" about it.

For the same reason that they try to push "[brown people] were the original people or were the ones who did the original [thing that white people did or are]" (at least if the context is regarding something positive or in the context of claiming land or something similar.) It's an attempt to continue the erasure process. Some of it is done out of outright malice while some is done by a new group to give itself a point of pride even if it's fake history. Didn't you know that the original internet was created in sub-Saharan Africa a few thousand years ago while whitey was still baffled at the concept of bathing?

If you push a narrative long enough then a lot of people will start to believe it; some will believe it because it fits a narrative that they want, others because they're just that easy to fool. The western world, with varying degrees but without any exceptions, is becoming browner; this is a trend that will likely not end. Part of being conquered is having your history warped, if not outright erased. Europe isn't lost to Islam (yet,) but there are enough cuckolded natives as well as enough permanent imported foreigners that this kind of origin story is great fodder for. It's an obvious stretch to use a region like Denmark for this type of thing, but Spain is pretty good for obvious historical reasons.

Bear in mind that there's a sizable minority of people in the western world who genuinely believe that you real biological women can have penises. If you can get people to believe something so obviously foolish, it's not hard to get people on board with the idea that actually XYZ was originally Islamic (implicitly brown) or that actually Anne Boleyn and Shakespeare were black, as were many Vikings, etc.

To go back to my opening sentence, if you ever doubt that it's done out of malice, always keep in mind that these "actually brown people were the originators" lies are always told about something that's neutral on its face at worst (XYZ peoples were originally non-white) or about a creation of something that's considered good (actually advancement XYZ was invented by non-white.)

visually appealing game and i like the game design, but i just can't get into the message behind it. despite some of the comments calling this game introspective and thought provoking, I personally found it nothing but a horrible example of fetishising a girl's suffering. it's very clearly tailored towards a male audience, with the player character being gender neutral but heavily implied to be male through subtext (Ame repeatedly states her attraction towards men with no mention of women or other genders, and the intimacy option represented by very clearly gendered colours). yes, the representation of bpd is realistic, but rather than "here is what someone with severe mental health issues goes through" the game is more like "here is all the things i can do to this mentally unstable girl - and she's obsessed with me". the game is not much about her suffering and her experiences, but rather the player's authority and power over her. the devs build this image of the perfect and super hot girl, and then decides she's too perfect and out of their league, so they give her bpd in an attempt to make her seem less perfect and also conveniently obsessed with the player character. the only good ending is where she stops streaming for her mental health and prepares for a certification test irl - but even so, the game frames it like it's a bad thing.. as if it is bad that she is no longer constantly on the verge of a breakdown and posing an active risk to herself and the people around her?? it truly seems like the devs wanted a manic unstable pixie girl to fit their biggest wet dreams rather than a happy and healthy human. if that's your thing, fine!
But for the girls who are potentially reading this - instead of romanticising your suffering through self objectification, please consider getting real help like therapy and medical assistance. you are special and gorgeous without suffering, and you deserve to live a good life! your suffering is benefitting no one but the people who get a kick out of manipulating and abusing you in a vulnerable state, which a lot of the players seems to do.
