This isn't the case, he retweeted it without commentary and then deleted the retweet
Yes but I think the implication was him saying fuck it and getting it out there and writing an apology letter. If someone was actually blackmailing him then that's the easiest way to make the blackmail have zero value.

Can we not allow literal children on the forum please?
We don't have property taxes in the UK. You don't pay anything to the government if you don't produce income so I was surprised the US had such a tax where you did regardless.
Owning property is not essential as you can always rent
You're still paying the tax since the property owner is likely incorporating it into your bill. Yeah you can make the same argument for any and all taxes but still. Taxes are compulsory and useful for maintenance and all, but this particular tax feels like fiscal rape. Considering the tax is tied to the market value of your property, which is permanently increasing thanks to demand generated through mass immigration (or just a continuously rising population in general), you're constantly paying just a little bit more every passing year.

I'm not a lolbert either, it's just that property tax seems particularly unfair as far as taxes go. I've seen the "eminent domain" perspective on why you never technically own your property, but it's better to have fewer ways of having your home foreclosed on rather than more. It's probably not as big a deal as I'm making it out to be.

He didn't mention blackmail in his statement or explain why he retweeted it. Everyone is assuming blackmail for no reason.

Wait until you learn about state excise taxes.

Excise taxes are probably the most inefficient tax and seem to only serve as a way to deter specific behaviors, but they just end up creating black markets and loopholes instead. Consider how much corruption Nevada created because of its gaming board.

In my opinion, taxes go like this as far as fairness and efficiency, from most efficient to least:

Tariffs > property tax > VAT > sales tax > income tax > capital gains tax > estate tax > excise tax

IMO, everything at sales tax above I consider ‘good policy’ and everything below I consider ‘retarded’.

Chinabros. I don't feel so good. Surely this had nothing to do with zombie tier workforce, Styrofoam walls or fake safety equipment, right?

Maaaaasive explosion at a pesticide chemical plant.

A facility like this, undergoing rapid discombobulation, has probably emptied metric tons of organophosphates into the environment. Which... is BAD. Like... Generational impacts bad. That area is probably fucked like 1/4 of Chernobyl levels fucked. Someone will probably dump videos of the actual explosion before too long. Looks fucking epic.

Someone finally got a video of the event out to the rest of the world.

state excise taxes
I was already vaguely aware of those through osmosis. When I went to Florida a few years back I took out 15 dollars to pay for something that was only ten because I thought the actual price you had to pay at the register wasn't actually displayed with the the product. I was mildly surprised when the price was as listed. But yeah not having the price listed up front is just needlessly confusing.
Yeah go away faggot.
I will continue to support the idea that the government ought not continue making you pay for property and land you legally purchased because I care about you. :)
