The NIST report is suspect for more reasons than im sure you will care to read.

A tower that collapses sideways could lead to a chain reaction of towers falling down. they dident want that so ALL the buildings fell down in the same uniform, frankly spooky, vertical collapse.

Let me ask you, how many buildings, outside of controlled demolitions, have you seen fall down PERFECTLY VERTICALLY, its like a structural engineers worst nightmare, its what you do EVERYTHING to design against because even a topple is preferred than a shearing and buckling of VERTICAL STABILIZERS.

Even if somewhere in the middle was structurally compromised its hard to understand how it could be weak enough to buckle in on itself but not topple from wind combined with the directionality of the impact, its implying all 4 corners of the structure gave way PERFECTLY EQUALLY otherwise it could come down with directionality as even a small difference in timing would cause increased weight being distributed unfairly and gravity would exacerbate this all the way down, it would follow the "lead" corners collapse at the break with the top going to opposite direction.

This is the most retarded fucking question that assumes the general public is witness to both controlled and uncontrolled demolitions regularly under a wide range of conditions and has studied the two in comparison.

Yes, you have youtube videos of endless controlled demolitions everywhere. But you have little to NO basis of comparison for uncontrolled collapses of high rises outside of some grainy ass earthquake or other geological event AND due to catastrophic structural damage. Clear video of this happening is pretty rare.

But what's hilarious here is that the most recent example we have is of the Florida condo collapse a few years ago. 2/3rds of it fell almost perfectly down and inward on itself. The East wing had almost perfect pancaking and fell with a slight drift to the south, but remained almost entirely in the property footprint. Almost like it was a controlled fall.

Does the Federal Judiciary operate on the belief that they run the United States of America now? I guess they can decide whether or not we go to war as well.

Mahmoud Khalil’s motion for a preliminary injunction has been denied. The court found that Khalil is unlikely to succeed in his challenge against the claim that he failed to disclose key information in his green card application, such as his membership in CUAD and former employment by UNRWA.

Judge Michael Farbiarz also said that Khalil is likely to succeed in his challenge that 8 U.S.C. § 1227(a)(4)(C), which allows deportation for “compromising a compelling foreign policy interest”, is unconstitutionally vague, but did not grant an injunction yet.
