I might be misremembering but I thought Nokes' previous story was the CD he stole was a magazine freebie? Which I really have a hard time believing there was an AOL CD as a magazine freebie in 2001 as the planet was so completely saturated with AOL discs by 2001 that it wouldn't be an incentive to buy a magazine.

No, he picked a new video card. However the combination of his monitor, processor, and video card is causing a bottleneck. Not that he understands that due to his limited knowledge of hardware. Like he decided to use Timespy instead of Geekbench or Cinebench, which hardware builders prefer to use now because it gives better real world results. If you want to stress test the system there's better benchmark suites out there. I wouldn't gloat either about a system that's worse than my main laptop.
