I'm always very cautious around content creators where the only thing the fans can really say about them is that they are 'based'. 9 times out of 10, it means their content is mostly them just spouting the same shitty opinions they heard on /pol/ and no real substance beyond that.
The Internet is flooded with right-wing dogshit content, but people still flock to this crap because it's 'based', it's literally just one step above those shitty AI pro-Trump channels that the jeets churn out.

If I had to guess, synth got a following because of the EFAP/Mauler drama that was caused by synth shitting
on the God of war ragnarok, which separated synth from the larger youtube grifter sphere.

After that, he got a lot of hate on twitter and reddit over his negative reviews of games like zelda, spiderman 2, which
in turn he made a lot of fans that thought that he was the "based", honest youtuber.

All of this happened in 2022/2023, when anti-woke, right-wing content wasn't mainstream as it is right now.

I've thought something similar, but seeing his threads I've realized the probable truth: he's successful specifically because he's that type of person.

Originally I thought if this guy has an audience of goons supporting him and insisting he can do no wrong then anyone should be able to, it can't be hard to be a better, more entertaining and charismatic person than this, but my guess is his parasocial appeal is specifically that he IS a stunted loser who throws tantrums and behaves like a bad stereotype of an incel manchild. Even other chronically depressed 30 year olds who don't have it going for them don't act as emotionally immature as this.

The problem is if he wasn't as dysfunctional as he is he wouldn't have a channel where he plays videogames constantly and whines about whether or not they're "woke" (since well adjusted adult men don't usually make that a center point of their life), he wouldn't constantly repeat nihilistic chud crap, and his pitiful audience wouldn't be drawn to someone they clearly see as some type of kindred spirit.

Basically the attitudes and habits that made him successful online to begin with are the same ones that doom him to never be successful or happy in the long term.
