I wonder what would actually make Anisa feel shame from an external social source of validation, instead of feeling it coming from a place of jealousy and insecurity.

I don't like Ethan very much in terms of his hack comedy ladder pull behavior, but it is very telling that Ethan did not roll over for any of these people, yet Ian did for all of them.
If you consider everyone involved to be equal in terms of all their nonsense solidified into a bullion cube of bullshit, then the mere existence of Ethan continually defending his castle from the huns makes his opposition look like the enemy. And as usual no one has to ride to his defense out of some kind of loyalty, because he is in that same struggle session that his enemies are.

Subjecting myself to the h3h3 drama podcasts, it feels like the man has kid gloves on when talking about Ian compared to say Hasan, Denims, and even Anisa. Hell even right now, notice Anisa is the only one willingly throwing herself in the drama constantly while we haven't heard a peep from Ian since the two videos and the Hasan stream where he was just mostly fucking a dog.

There's zero chance of Ethan taking Ian back. It's just that Ian is totally irrelevant (thanks Ricegum) and can't even be the main character in his own conflict. He's too pathetic to make fun of because it's like ripping a wet paper towel. Nobody's impressed.

i really hope these get leaked, but i totally believe it. Ian has no thoughts, opinions, or convictions. he knows nothing about the conflict, yet hes willing to sacrifice whats left of his reputation taking a stance on it (well, at least picking one side over another). why? because Anisa has her hand up his ass, and thinks it will get them closer to Hasan and friends, who have already discarded them. its actually amazing to me, how someone who was once seen as the voice of reason, could be so emptyheaded and clueless. and not just that hes uninformed on politics, old iDubbbz never talked about politics and stayed in his lane. the problem is that hes clueless about BEING clueless, and the fact that we all see it.

I'm sure part of Ethan wants to forget about all of this and rekindle their friendship. The problem is Ian isn't trustworthy anymore. His actions have totally eroded any credibility he had. He's proven he's the kind of guy who will be your friend for eight years and then trying to publicly crucify you alongside your worst enemies. It's not just aggressive, it's also deceptive and vindictive. And he did it all with this thin, transparent veneer of being the nice, meek and well-intended beta who just wanted to help Ethan. This wasn't just a sudden crash out when emotions go high, this was a prolonged and crafted campaign.

Once you've proven you're capable of that kind of treachery, it takes a lot to come back from that. The kind of goodwill effort I don't think Ian is even slightly capable of, even if he wanted to. Forgiving is one thing, forgetting is another.

Might be :optimistic: to say but, knowing Ethan, if Ian broke up with anisa, broke all contact with friends of Hasan and showed up at his door crying begging for forgiveness, Ethan would forgive him. Dunno about Hila, but their friendship and bond really went that far back. You could hear how emotionally distraught Ethan was in his response to the content cop, he didn't even make any jokes or try to be funny. He spoke from the heart.

Maybe IF Ian didn't just choose the people who tried getting Ethans children taken away over a holy war no one involved are educated on.
