I’ve seen melanated fellas fail 4x in a row + cop other charges before being sent to prison.
OTOH I’ve seen dudes violated for not getting a job fast enough (it’s difficult to get employment on probation. It (rightly) makes you seem untrustworthy, you might have to miss work due to the conditions, you may have a curfew and not able to work nights, etc).
The state justice system is dependent on whether the Judge or PO got in a fight with their wife that morning. It’s pretty silly. They might also have directives to keep people out of prison as much as possible (shit’s money) so there’re political reasons too.

If you’re going to do crime, make sure it’s Federal, the State system is whack.

My guess is that he asked his PO if they were going to arrest him today. PO said ‘no’ as that’s the sheriffs or cops job. Bossman thinks this means he’s in the clear.
