It's a bullied kid mentality. The people who gravitate to Melton were all outcasts in school and the neighborhood, and when they reached adulthood they see someone like Melton going after a symbol of the smug high school jock who stuffed them in lockers: Aaron Imholte.

It's a retroactive, proxy rebellion of sorts against the shitty teenage years they endured.

It's the spiteful way of thinking that people like ShortFatOtaku have: "I will now enact my revenge against the world!!!". Only their revenge isn't funny, and it's full of spite. They certainly are. Anything that can be put in a fixed form is copyrighted upon doing so.

In fact, sports leagues can even copyright reports on things like scores in real time under an archaic and utterly bullshit doctrine called the "hot news exception." It's uncertain to what extent it survives the current Copyright Act, but they still invoke it to retain a monopoly on coverage.

Last night’s Podawful where Jesse covered Hackamania clips (that were either posted by a third party on xitter [Misery Loves Clips], or Nightwave where Mersh was commenting on Hackamania) was actually transformative content, under fair use exception.

Not only that but Melton has been around as long as Jesse and to quote Erin Imholte, “Melton doesn’t want Jesse PS smoke”.

ETA: apparently Melton didn’t strike/DMCA Mersh’s Nightwave where Queen Mersh commented on (a stream snipe of) Hackamania, Mersh pre-emptively took it down himself out of fear that Melton would flag him.

Mersh is really waking on eggshells lately. Ever since his car got repoed he's afraid of his own shadow. Aaron is correct that Melton is afraid of Jesse. Melton thought podawful was going to cover Aaron regularly, and freaked out about it the first time Jesse mentioned Aaron.

There has never been a company registered under that name in Nevada, so far it has been doing business under Melton name according to the website.

As far as I can see, since he did not have a registered business entity running the company, he is directly liable for any legal penalties.
There still is no supertip company registered at this time and if he created a company to put it under, it was not registered under his name.

The only company he is currently involved in is Pantswise Media LLC, which is the company his podcast etc. runs under. (He recently converted it from an Inc. to an LLC)

No company with competent lawyers will buy supertips.gg from him, because the liability is obvious. The second they ask "Mr. Melton, where do you have the contracts to use these people's likeness?" the deal is dead.

He thought what he did was smart eg creating a system where he used the likeness and voices of people in the hackverse podcast world . He thought he was ahead of the curve. He didn't even look into the legality of using people's likeness etc... now he knows he screwed up and as he has attacked and pissed off so many people he is at real risk of one of them suing him especially with the money he has made using their name and image ....

Thursday night he had Ray DeVito join at 2:20AM and they were speaking about how fucked up it was that the Hackamania attendees were fawning over Rekieta despite him being a confirmed POS. According to Pat:

“He could literally be Adolf Hitler and if he was shitting on Aaron they’d all be high-fiving and laughing with him. That’s how much they hate Aaron.” He says this as if he doesn’t realize that the Shitverse is home to a large percentage of actual Hitler admirers. Ray substituted mass murderer Dylann Roof for AH.

It’s been a while since Melton put Dixon in his place so consider this a formal request for service, Hunchy. Dixon deserves it so much more than that dork in Minnesota.

i mean does melton shitting on people even work anymore the hackamania thing made aaron look good somehow, he didn't pay for Riketa's hotel room which is hilarious but also shows the scumbag he is . the super tip thing is being exposed as being totally illegal, not to mention no one having respect for him for his hack of aaron's account and pedo rants. It’s funny as fuck though. On Wednesday night Pat had chatter Final Boss on his stream and FB exceeded my (frankly low) expectations. He was playing dumb IMO when he asked Pat what happened at Hackamania last year and it yielded the treat of Pat telling the story for the 100th time. It always makes Melton sound far more hilarious than he is. As with every other time I’ve heard him tell the story of being passed tf out at his hotel when he was supposed to be doing his standup spot, Pat complained that Melton didn’t come to his hotel room to wake up him. Imagine needing and expecting your client to get your ass up for work on time.

Pat also revealed Melton paid him $400 for his appearance and covered his flights and hotel. I’m surprised he could swing that and would love to see the books for Hackamania.
 
Patrick Melton has copyright struck @elb for posting clips of Rekieta's appearance from Hackamania even though he explicitly stated he had no problem with clippers publishing such clips after the weekend of the event had passed.
