me personally, his content was not high quality to begin with. i appreciate him for calling out woke shit in games (especially the shit other antiwoke niggas refuse to touch). his tone when discussing said shitty games is cathartic; it feels good listening to someone shit on a game that sounds like shit (especially when the devs themselves despise the chuds). when it comes to critically analyzing what makes a game good though, he is not strong at it as seen in him discussing the "greatest games of all time" with games like ninja gaiden or gradius where he very clearly does not get why people like/liked those games.

arguably, there has been a drop in quality since he started being more parasocial in streams and made less videos in the end of 2023 to start of 2024 with shit like the suicide squad review which is just stream clips with zero analysis. him missing easy to hit targets like dustborn also falls under his decline in quality; past him would definitely jump straight to reviewing said games. unless there's a guest, i can't listen to chudcast; some of his takes on old games gives me tumors. and his streams are now being censored for a vtuber who very clearly friendzoned him.
 
I still can't believe he declined to make a Dragon Age Veilguard video. Skillup's uncharacteristically savage review shitting on it has almost 3 million views, literally free money and he didn't do it.
 
I still don't why he decided to make a 4 hour KCD2 video. Especially when he says those games aren't for him yet he wasted 3 weeks on it. Did WAB's betrayal really make him that butthurt?
 
KCD2 was stretching it. So there's one gay romance and one black guy. So what? It's not like they turned 40% of the population into niggers and made everyone a tranny.

Have you played it? The amount of gay innuendos is absolutely insane. I'd say probably 70% if not more of the dialogue between Henry and Hans is extremely suggestive.

It's almost a fujo game. And that's just the gayshit, we won't even get started on Musa and how he can't breef.

I think of Life is Strange when I think of woke. A single gay romance is not the death of a game. Love Mass Effect. Just don't play the gay parts. Simple as.
 
So goes to show that people need to stop seeking entertainment that only lines up with your morals and political values. You should only go on if you think it's actually quality and well made. I feel like people are forgetting that this was his stand in for the Veilguard video. I actually agree with Synth that certain things don't actually deserve an in-depth review. However I still can't believe he wasted his time with KDC2 when he could've done MH Wilds.

Or the shitty Castlevania Netflix show where they made 60% of the villagers in 1500s Europe black and had Alucard gay raped. KCD2 is nothing at that level. If you compare it to a classic like ES:IV Oblivion. Oblivion is way more "woke".

You have a point in that his videos and streams are two different worlds and his video audience is mostly oblivious about what's happening in the streams. But considering most of the hitpieces and controversies around him stem from the streams, I assume he's dependent on the easy stream money.

Calling Null a pedo wouldn't mean much on its own if he didn't already have a lot of his stream viewers shift towards alogging because of the Kirsche drama.

I'll check out his stream and see if he's still seething next time one comes up. I know the last one was suppose to be his final point on it so we'll see if that holds true. Wouldn't be the first time someone said they were not going to discuss something and then they discuss it ad nauseum.

Consider this as well. The Puar is Sexy video about this has about 13K views. Synth's most recent video has over 300K. Most people aren't going to know this drama even exist. Its the same case with the MATI archive which has like 14K (which was about a totally different topic since Janny Josh didn't do his homework). And as you mentioned, people are joining just to police kind of signifies what I said, that some of the backlash is a specific section of his fans (assuming I'm not misinterpreting what you said) If he ignores it, it will blow over (though, admittedly, that's a big IF). And to rehash what I said previously, if he has two audiences, a pro anime audience is likely bigger since they are just bigger in nerd culture in general. I know people wont like that but its the way things are.

Agree on this. Same for Expedition 33 (wanted to see if the hype was genuine). He really just needs to be doing more videos and seeing as he's a NEET, there is no reason he shouldn't. The one time he did a short is did incredibly well. There really isn't an excuse why he can't do more streams other than just pure laziness.

I mean, it's a whole can of worms and the reason people hate kcd2 goes quite deep .

Basically, the game director of KCD made a game which catered to gamers who wanted a proper historical experience without liberal bullshit.
He was also openly against anything which did not accurately depict the medieval Era.
Then, all of a sudden after his company got bought out, he added gays and blacks to medieval Bohemia while also trashing fans who disagreed with these additions.

Edit: the gay bromance was also underage.
