This exchange feels like Nick thought of his attendance as an obligation, instead of a privilege.
Right. The rational explanation is that Melton and Nick engaged in some kind of
business relationship several months ago. (I don't think I'm the first to say it, but the thread hasn't really discussed it.)
Melton's business objective: 1) Wider usage for Supertips; he does get 10%, and 2) Milking his cow, Aaron. Nick gave him additional content to discuss on his streams.
Nick's business objective: I don't know tbh. All this Supertip trash talk seems contrary to clicks and views. Sure, Supertips can be funny, but it's not sustainable for the Lawtube crowd. It's petty, bitchy, and silly. It locks him into, at most, 2K live viewers. This brings to mind:
when you're talking to an addict and you're not addicted, your realities aren't even the same, you're in two different worlds
- Aaron Imholte from Folgers Can post above
Whatever Nick's doing is not rational by any measure: clicks, views, reputation, legal risk. It makes no sense.
Meanwhile, Melton's goals are clear.
It's occured to me that Melton is blackmailing Nick but I cannot think what he could possible know, provably, that would bring Nick to his knees
unless it's proof of the hacking.
So, what are we left with? All the drugs has made Nick quite literally retarded.
