The main reason the cops cant/wont help him in any way is because he has never made the effort to cease contact with the criminal stalking cult. You see the same shit with Cyrax. Cops come to the house and ask if hes been on the Internet, he says yes, they leave. He is waaaaay to mentally ill to just go private for a while so he can legitimize himself in the eyes of law enforcement. This nigger is so retarded he cant even make a sock account and lay low for a few.

This is also the reason that Rick will lose his lawsuit. His action fails the "but if for" test. But if for he had made even the most minor effort to avoid the people he claims to be harassing him there is a chance they would have just gotten bored and left him alone thus not triggering the endless string of "swattings" he endured. He made no reasonable attempt to mitigate his situation. If it can be shown that he made no effort to mitigate his own situation, then I don't think they will be able to prove that the police acted inappropriately when if he had made efforts to mitigate the situation they never would have been called to his residence in the first place.

Rick doesn't seem to understand that if a car is barreling toward you, and you can avoid being hit by it by stepping out of the way, and you don't, that makes you 50% at fault because you didn't move the fuck out of the way when you easily could have done so and avoided the car hitting your stupid ass in the first place. Pat seems to think he is right to just stand there and the car should do everything it can to avoid him and he is at no fault to stand there despite the fact that the car will likely hit him as a result. He's that fucking stupid.

I know it probably doesn’t count but does his instruction to “cease contacting him stalker etc” make any difference?

A person repeatedly telling an actual stalker who shows up everywhere they are to leave them alone certainly would.

And a stalking victim can’t be blamed for a stalker coming to a public place.

I realize that it is the difference that he could remove his online and social media presence, but if he can justify needing to keep his current details and such for publicity purposes, then surely he has some kind of case?

How do journalists who get stalked online by lunatics handle it for instance?

Obviously proper celebrities have a staff and professionals to handle creeps and deranged fans, but journalists often have public details but don’t have the same weight and support.
