Not after a flight of B2s knock out the Three Gorges Dam.
Id like to share the words of an esteemed friend, I think they put it better than I ever can.

You speak of a preemptive strike on the dam as if it were a chess move—as if the lives behind that wall are nothing more than pawns to be sacrificed for some greater gambit. But I ask you plainly—have you even measured the weight of what you propose?

Behind that dam stands not an enemy army, but the lives of families, children, the elderly—the very same innocents we claim to defend on our own soil. Your ‘logic’ demands we drown them before they might stand against us.

If that is logic, then call me a fool. But I will stand with the fools who believe that power should be tempered by mercy, and that might is no justification for murder.

We are a people who pride ourselves on justice and decency—do not disgrace that heritage by becoming what we claim to fight against. If war comes to our door, we will meet it as free men. But I will not—I cannot—stand by while we become the authors of a tragedy so vast that history itself would weep at our memory.

You seek to strike at the heart of another nation before they’ve even drawn their sword. But mark my words—those who swing first out of fear are the quickest to fall.

So I ask you, as a brother to his brothers: Are we the nation that builds dams, or the one that breaks them? Will our legacy be found in the light we share—or the darkness we unleash?

ok your the second guy to say some 3 gorges meme, do you know what your even talking about or did you just see some memes from NCD about nuking the three gorges?

The 3 gorges is a gravity built dam straight up, that means each section is using is sheer mass to hold the water back not some physics tricks. China built the 3 gorges to serve as a nuclear fallout shelter worst case ontario so I think anything short of a tac nuke is going to tickle it.

Ive read about the dam buster raids in ww2, was a miracle we pulled it off with those skipping mines and even then it was only beacuse our bomber were allowed the opportunity to take multiple passes to drop the munitions correctly.

That damn is nearly 60 stories tall from its base and over 7,500 feet long, visualize that. reall think of a skycraper, biggest you can imagine and then stretch the fucker 25 football fields.

Think of how big a crater would be in a football field if you drop a jdam on it, prolly wont even have 2, maybe 3 feet of penetration into the soil and thats fucking dirt, imagine hardened concrete. its over 100 feet thick at its thinnest.

you hear that bucko?

100 feet

of fucking concrete.

Its a NUCLEAR BOMB SHELTER
It's also built by the Chinese. Meaning that 100ft of concrete is probably more like 30.

There are billions of Chinese, they'll make more.

Ohh baby dont do me like this, your one of my favorite!

I dont mean you should blindly agree with me but as a guy I thought was pretty smart you should know that the water pressure put up against it in any second is generating the energy equivalent of 150,000 MOABS, please feel free to check the math on that.

the dam holds back 40 billion cubic meters of water

Nothing short of a nuke will bring it down I PROMISE YOU
Well, you might be right, the water pressure is definitely something I was thinking about being an issue. I still don't think that it's the invincible superstructure it needs to be to be a cornerstone of their entire country like it is.

Your friend talks like a fag and his shit's all retarded.

I’ll break any commie’s dam any day of the week you giant faggot.

Memorandum to Make Showers and Toliets Great Again:

Rescission of Useless Water Pressure Standards

Presidential Memoranda
May 9, 2025

MEMORANDUM FOR THE SECRETARY OF ENERGY
THE SECRETARY OF THE INTERIOR
THE DEPUTY ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR OF THE OFFICE OF LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS

SUBJECT: Rescission of Useless Water Pressure Standards

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, I hereby direct:

Water conservation requirements for faucets, showers, bathtubs, and toilets — promulgated by the Department of Energy pursuant to the Energy Policy Act of 1992 (Public Law 102-486) — make bathroom appliances more expensive and less functional. “Efficiency” standards render other American appliances like clothes washers and dishwashers less useful, more breakable, and more expensive to repair. The Federal Government should not impose or enforce regulations that make taxpayers’ lives worse.

To address these unnecessary radical green agenda policies, I direct the Secretary of Energy to consider using all lawful authority to rescind — or, as appropriate, amend to revert to the standards required by statute — the regulations found in 10 C.F.R. 430.32(f), relating to water and energy use in dishwashers; 10 C.F.R. 430.32(o), relating to water use in faucets; 10 C.F.R. 430.32(p), relating to water use in showerheads; 10 C.F.R. 430.32(q), relating to water use in water closets; 10 C.F.R. 430.32(r), relating to water use in urinals; the definitions of “automatic clothes washer,” “clothes washer,” “dishwasher,” “faucet,” “other clothes washer,” “semi-automatic clothes washer,” “urinal,” and “water closet” contained in 10 C.F.R. 430.2; the residential washing machine efficiency standards contained in 10 C.F.R. 430.32(g); and the commercial washing machine efficiency standards contained in 10 C.F.R. 431.156.

Furthermore, I direct the Secretary of Energy to publish in the Federal Register a notice clarifying the Waiver of Federal Preemption of State regulations covered by the application of “Energy Efficiency Program for Consumer Products: Waiver of Federal Preemption of State Regulations Concerning the Water Use or Water Efficiency of Showerheads, Faucets, Water Closets and Urinals,” 75 Fed. Reg. 80289 (December 22, 2010).

I further direct the Secretary of Energy not to enforce any of the regulatory provisions listed in this memorandum, pending rescission or reversion of such provisions; the provisions of 42 U.S.C. 6295(j) and (k); or energy and water efficiency standards for washing machines, including the provisions in 42 U.S.C. 6295(g) and 42 U.S.C. 6313(e).

Finally, I direct the Secretary of Energy and the Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Legislative Affairs to jointly prepare and submit recommendations to the President, within 60 days of the date of this memorandum, through the Chair of the National Energy Dominance Council, for the Congress to rescind, insofar as each relates to the subject matter of this memorandum, 42 U.S.C. 6295(g), (j), (k), and (o) and 42 U.S.C. 6313(e), or to repeal the Energy Policy Act of 1992 in its entirety.

This memorandum is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

would you rather get shot with 5.56 or get hit by a car going 30km/h? the car has roughly 30 times more energy btw.

Nukes aren't made for penetration. Now the GBU 57/MOP on the other hand. 14 tons of pure penetration (6 greater than the GBU2), capable of going through 200ft and more of whatever the fuck was unfortunate enough to get in it's way. Outfitted with all the latest and greatest in precision bombs. tailor made to be carried by B2 spirits, 2 at a time btw.

This is a goofy oneyplays tier hypothetical going on back and forth either way we slice it with "How much boom to boom the dam" so I'm not engaging in that part but more focusing on the "I don't think it's all good structurally and wouldn't trust their numbers." angle.

Architecture and material science principles somewhat above my own paygrade and out of my wheelhouse. But I stayed awake a little bit sometimes in class.
It's not that it's acting against the force of X magnitude therefore it can withstand that force of X magnitude again in ADDITION again as long as it doesn't go over that like it's an HP bar or armor score in a videogame.

It's already enduring that force, so any additional force or tension or impact is in fact on top of what it's already tolerating and the question remains what is it's max tolerance and remaining tolerances for any particular physical force. And asking the chinese if something is fine or built to tolerance... you might as well assume the answer is "Yes" if it would make them look bad to say no, and no if it would make someone else look worse than them.

It's also been in a state of years of material degradation and damage has been accumulating like any structure of it's kind would. The thing I can't say for certain is the maintenance if any or if it was built correctly to begin with.

The dam's structure has also (allegedly) experienced significant deformation over time even though the chinese government predictably ree'd and claimed doctored images and that it's working fine on THEIR sattelite... Also google earth/maps updated the squiggly wiggly one to a "Corrected" updated one.... With an identical snapshot of water flows to another prior one allegedly. And we already know google was more than happy to carry water (more literally in this case) for the CCP and uphold their image.

Quora I know but the data/info seems legit for once. Includes snapshots of map times and updates

TL;DR: Who even knows, but I don't need an engineering degree to tell you that a dam shouldn't look like that with only a difference of a couple of decades in between unless they fucked something up somewhere between the blueprint phase and the "It's finished" phase. And even in gloss over official speak they've not been murmering anything good about the thing.

China had water logged missiles back in like January of last year, I'm not worried about this corrupt hellhole waging a proper war.

I have a hard time not fedposting when the subject of scam and robocallers come up. I get 4 to 5 calls a day from these pukes spoofing local numbers and it needs to stop.
I get a lot of niggers trying to buy my house over the phone. I usually cut them off mid-pitch by telling them I won't take less than seven figures plus they have to eat all the closing costs. They usually just go quiet and hang up.

Holy shit, does this mean the end of low-flow toilets? I can get a fucking regular toilet again that actually flushes well with enough water???
YES!!! As human beings it is our fundamental right to have a toilet that can actually flush a massive fudge dragon instead of fucking clogging constantly.

The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

I had a chinky sounding twat ringing me up today, asking if I wanted to sell her my home. I said, "No. My family needs a fucking place to live. Now, go tell Winnie Xi Pooh to go eat a bullet!" before hanging up.
