The problem with anime is that most of the more normal people have been driven to the fringes of the fandom by the nuttier part of the fandom. Those who haven't are either nutty themselves, the type of person who is too gullible/accepting and might get groomed into trooning, or have a pained look every time they talk about their fandom.

There is another issue: it's traditional media, and the only way to make money is to milk the obsessive and those who have more money than sense. There was always perverted stuff and stuff that made you raise your brow in anime but it just exploded in the past 15 or so years. Even back in Japan, it's hard to make money. The blu ray and DVD sets there commonly cost over $100 even in their pretty weak economy.

For every attack on titan or whatever which generally is normalish (in terms of perversion), there's like 100 more titles that season which is just total sleaze.

Not even something like Dragonball Super was profitable enough to keep on air.

Apparently. I mean, not all of my own urinary adventures are identical; sometimes a sprizzle that makes a bit of a mess on the undercarriage, sometimes a tight stream that only requires two squares… but what a dumbass. I’m not the one leaving pee all over the bowl rim and down the toilet sides/floor, that would be the men in my life.

Ages ago, there was a website that showed a technique for women to pee standing up involving pulling the inner labia out and up, and learning to start and stop the stream without dribbling (it even insisted a woman could manage this without dropping jeans). I tried it a few times, but it was less fussy to just hover and wipe the seat on particularly gross public toilets (usually unisex port-a-potties). Can’t locate the site now unfortunately.

You know lots of trans people (don't name any, if you do) and you wear the pin in support and you're disgusted at them for allowing this.
Blame the business for allowing the behaviour.
Businesses see that their cis customers are getting bothered over a badge and may clarify trans-inclusive policies, so they can kick out the bathroom botherers instead of nice cis allies.
You only need to buy and wear the badge, and you are protecting trans people. You can be genuinely heroic. Even one cis person doing this helps, and everyone you get to join in helps even more.

Anime like K-On! and Lucky Star existed way before trannies became mainstream. They are one of the main cultural hallmarks of 2000s anime, we should not condemn them as "those cartoons that sissy-hypno every adolescent male into trooning out"

The Key word I used was "exclusively". If you just watched K-on/lucky star, you're probably not a troon, because everyone and their dog watched those shows when they came out. We're in a time where the media you consume (usually) influences who you are, especially gen Z and A; if you mainly consume slice of life slop, you're an extremely unmasculine dude AT BEST, the same way dudes that do nothing but consume isekai slop are often times losers inside and out. It's an easy assumption to make when you've seen 5 different dudes IRL that constantly yapped about those kinds of anime troon out; also I've unfortunately bore witness to the mental illness of the /u/troons on 4chan that would invade /a/ constantly back in the early 2020s and they all talked/typed exactly like the the guys I knew that trooned out.

Something I thought I'd put out there because it's lesson I had to digest recently. I went to a concert and saw several other trans girls in attendance. I'm sure there were even more who were stealthing--I'm certainly not trying to say "we can always tell"--but there were quite a few girlies that were visually easy to identify as trans, but that didn't stop them from being some of the most beautiful girls in the venue.
It forced me to take a step back and analyze the way I react to myself in the mirror; any time my attention is drawn to the features that remind me I was assigned male at birth, I'm often disgusted and discouraged because it makes me feel like I'm just "a man in a dress", but if I can see those other girls in public spaces and immediately find them gorgeous despite the fact that I clocked them, then the same has to be true for me. Even if I personally can't always see it, and often can't accept it.

tl;dr "passing" and "pretty" are not the same thing.

You'd think that they'd at least try a little bit to feed into their delusions and actually put some decent amount of effort in to "simulate" (not achieve) the look of a woman - but, no, they don't even try doing that anymore. Everytime I look away from this whole mess they come up with a new term for whatever kind of intricate bullshit they're talking about. Never heard of the verb "clocking" or the adjective "clocky" being used in this type of context before reading this post.
