Is he really still putting up the Asahi Lina persona? The fact that “Lina” is him is probably the world’s worst-kept secret by this point. The fact that he managed to get “Lina” credited as a contributor to the Linux kernel (which usually asks for real names) is especially insane.

As a diehard Devo fan, it feels like if Mark Mothersbaugh insisted that Booji Boy was a real person who wrote all of Devo’s songs.

I'm still really curious how he managed to pull this off considering he had a call with Linus Torvalds himself about it from what I understand? Mostly about whether he just fessed up and told him the truth about the whole thing and with Hector being the Linux on Mac guy he just let him go through with it, or if he actually managed to convince him they're actually two separate people somehow with Lina having some really good reason to remain anonymous, something something transphobia probably...

Came here because I saw this, very clear Hector is just really upset about the RFL drama (+estrogen?) and is taking it out on old enemies. I saw a comment under the MVG video of someone saying that the LibOGC "stole Linux code" without using GPL/copyleft license and their takeaway was that LibOGC doesn't care about copyright/software licenses, and I was a little surprised that anyone would try to call out a piracy software for not respecting copyright, besides that, although I wasn't paying particular attention, the LibOGC people made a plausible enough argument that the code wasn't even plagiarized. Also apparently Marcan is upset about LibOGC reverse engineering Nintendo code, even though there's literally no other way that LibOGC (or emulators) could exist, and reverse engineering is generally considered to not even be a violation of copyright laws.

Edit: Also I forgot to mention that Brodie's explanation of the Rossmann drama was retarded, apparently this guy can go to Kiwifarms and check all of Rossmann's posts, and even find an old Mastodon post (which is not Google indexed) which posted a clip where Rossmann talked about the drama, but he can't actually read the thread to find out that they like him, or maybe he's just a liar who knows to tow the line. Also, the guy who clipped the stream seems to have intentionally left out the part where Louis @larossmann (I don't expect Louis to see this, since he doesn't appear to have logged in for months) explains his actual thoughts on the website, and that it's not all bad, the isolated clip could be taken to imply that Louis thinks this is basically a website that hounds people to death or whatever (totally unlike what Marcan wants to do to this Luna troon of course).

I think if he hadn't censored the names in both of his call-out docs he still could've claimed that he was being faildoxed somehow which would've looked way better for him than it does now, with all of Luna's original tweets with his name in it being archived on like 4 different sites.

Yeah, that would've been the smartest move for him. Still a really dumb move, but if he really wanted to become an "actual" vtuber it'd probably be the best one. Once he realized he actually liked vtubing he should've just thrown away his Asahi Lina persona, gotten a new vtuber avatar - along with a seperate pc just for streaming, running a different development environment than the one Hector uses.

But even then he'd really need to work on not immediately writing multi-paragraph long rants in exactly the same writing style Hector uses when things don't go exactly as he wants them to go:story:

Oh yeah, I kind of got off track while writing my post, oops... But true, I wouldn't be surprised if he'll still end up announcing he actually found his "new self" through vtubing within a few years. Very poetic how his heckin valid trans journey started off as an April fool joke as well, lmao

Hectare would be an appropriate name in more ways than one because it's also the amount of space he takes up (fat)
