It's pretty simple. First off, remember that Hasan is astroturfed. His rise to fame was not organic.
That said, there
are people who unironically like him. As for why that is, it's literally because he's a tall, non-fat, and normal-ish looking man. I'm not trying to be funny either. I used to be an SJW and one of the biggest complaints then (and it's still the same complaint now) is that leftist men are all short, weak, and gross looking sex pests. Literally low T levels. There was a meme going around where leftist women would say that they want a man with Liberal political beliefs and a MAGA body. Women want manly men and Hasan is unironically the manliest man on the Left. Which is sad, because Hasan acts pretty effeminate and has a small head and weak chin, but that just shows you how God awful Leftist men are when Hasan is the best they can do.
Leftist men also like Hasan for the same reasons. Only instead of wanting to fuck him, they like him because they finally have a "masculine" and "edgy" man to look up to instead of the typical tranny breadtuber. Leftist men may claim they don't mind troons or gay men, but they're liars. Like most men, they find troons off putting and gross. They want someone "cool" to look up to. Which is, again, pretty sad, considering Hasan is not very masculine and his humor is still really weak since he isn't allowed to make fun of certain people or say certain words.
The Left is starving for good looking or even just "normal looking" men that have normal male hobbies, to the point that any time there is a slightly decent looking dude parroting Liberal talking points, the main stream media shits themselves trying to promote them. You saw the same thing happen with those totally straight and not at all astroturfed guys that were being promoted by the Democrats during the recent Presidental election. They kept pointing out how MASCULINE they were, and how they're MANLY MEN that like GUNS and
FISHING!! but they're also HUGE feminists that hate toxic masculinity and want to destroy the patriarchy!
Those men were supposed to be the answer to combat the growing disdain for ugly weak leftist men. Unfortunately, this never works because these "totally straight" leftist men always end up being gay or straight sex pests that don't actually give a shit about politics.
