If China deflates and it’s currency continues to devalue, that’s going to limit Chinese investment overseas as Chinese businesses will want to limit exchanging yuan for other currencies as much as possible. These countries will look to other sources of income to fill the gap.

As unworthy of a sentiment as the one I’m about to express is, and as cheap, and lowbrow and as close as it comes to claiming credit for thing I have no control or influence over,

I fucking called it back when trump first mentioned 25% on Mexico and Canada, that he was setting up to crush China and that it would work

all they had to do was say "we'd like to negotiate a mutually beneficial reciprocal tariff." and i have no doubt trump would've done so.

You can’t BELIEVE anything the CCP says. Their version of diplomacy is 100% gaslighting. They were saying “what are you talking about, we sentence drug traffickers to death” when pressed on fentanyl, pretending not to understand we just SAID they ship the precursor chemicals to the cartels, who mix them together et cet.

I think saying they’d negotiate would’ve made one more hoop to jump through for face, but domestic Chinese face politics are 100% strongman coded

If you watch some of the video about china and everywhere else except major cities, the entire country is EMPTY. New infrastructure and new apartment buildings EVERYWHERE and no one to use it. It's just bunch of old people and that's it.

It's totally fucked.

If trump destroys the major cities, it's game over.

If I'm understanding the situation:
Hollywood is in the gutter
Lots of foreign outsourcing is happening to save costs.
Foreign films are dominating
Hollywood needs protecting to protect American soft power
