Interesting, I’ve never seen that quote. I’m partial to golden eagles & harpy eagles, though bald eagles are really something, too. They’ve got the looks for sure, & some have a great wing span.
Speaking of wing span, California condors are on the rise again after near extinction, though they are in the vulture family rather than the eagle. There are four or five preserves across different states where they’ve been reintroduced after wild condors went extinct in 1987 & the last 15-20 were kept in captivity until they could grow the population enough to reintroduce them to preferred habitats.
