Going to disagree with the "responsibility avoiding" theorists, this is definitively sex pest behavior and the consent was questionable if true. However, time will tell if it's clout chasing, or the floodgates are being opened considering the shit that cartoon spergs get up to.

Big if, but IF this story is true the most salient part to me is he felt what he was doing was wrong but went ahead with it anyway. He's one to cancel people over nothingburgers, but seemed to hold his own actions to these kind of standards and deliberately broke them.
 
Does anyone know how to check what his subscriber count would have been in 2012? I can't imagine how starstruck she could've been to meet a guy who had at this point released only one video. It seems like he was a literal nobody back in 2012 so I can't imagine there was any actual power dynamic involved.

See the problem is, by her own admission she states that anytime he initiated anything she immediately started "dissociating", so by her own admission she has no fucking idea what even took place.

She is essentially alleging that he is a rapist because he did not read her mind on multiple occasions to know how uncomfortable she was, despite how she went out of her way to hide that she was uncomfortable and to participate in anything he wanted.

While I completely agree that he deserves whatever is coming to him for going after other people for being in similar situations, by her own admission she did not press the issue of consent, object to a single thing that was going on, or even once voice her discomfort.

Again she is mad he couldn't read her mind. It's ridiculous.

And I'll Edit to add, that this being 2011, this whole YouTube creator vs fan sexual power dynamics thing that she expected him to brief her on didn't exist yet, I don't remember that even being a thing til like 2015+

The backlash was less about the contents of the video and more so it being filled with memes and unnecessary tangents that delegitimized any seriousness to the claims. Apparently the creator just tacked on the new accusations to a video they were already making.

It almost seems like they are trying to create new levels of social castes that aren't allowed to fraternitze with eachother.
