Knowing his narcissism instead of saving the fighters, himself, and everyone involved time and money he will think along the lines of "I can save this still." No Ian, your event was unsalvageable from the beginning because you and Anisa suck at managing events, or anything for that matter. At least it has been funny watching it crash and burn.

I watched it recently, this is pretty close to what I remember. It was basically asking him not to refer to him by another name, and then pretend it wasn't him. And the example he used was goblin lol. Not to harass his family (who?) and friends (who?), basically just him and Anissa.

I am of the belief they'll cancel it. I think the reason they haven't announced it yet is because they're trying to workshop a reason that will give them the least amount of blowback. My current assumption is that they will say their fighters have been "brigaded with bad faith and mean comments" and are cancelling the event out of concern for their health and safety.

If it were me, I wouldn't have kept my word after that. Sam graciously offered him mercy, on the condition that he humiliated himself by publicly asking him to stop saying unkind things. Dictating terms in that situation goes against the spirit of the request completely, and to me it implies that iDubbbz has some sort of leverage. Maybe he blackmailed Sam with the Markey stuff or something. Maybe I'm just wrong and Sam simply got bored like other Kiwis are saying. I just find it all very strange.

You'd need Sam's consent for some kind of legally binding document like that, and I just don't think Ian would want a paper trail promising "So long as you stop calling my wife a stupid whore, I won't bring up you allegedly grooming a 15 year old". Even by his standards that's depraved and insane. There's gotta be some other reason he's never thought to bring it up, because you don't need to dig deep to hear people who dislike Sam talk about it, and yet it's not even mentioned in passing in this huge hitpiece he put together on him, and instead he went over the gay political shit everyone thinks is a gotcha on him.

Yeah I guess it doesn't make a ton of sense for iDubbbz to trust Sam Hyde of all people with information that damaging. But then again, it didn't make sense to make Content Cop: H3, and we know he did that. All in all, I'm not confident in any explanation, but the situation will always seem off to me.
 
Sam was honorable to hold to the end of the deal. But isn't it hypocritical, not to mention extremely cowardly, for Ian, who literally made an entire career of parading people as freaks and making fun of people on the internet, to be so thin-skinned once people made fun of him?

If the children were actually being exposed to dog shit and parasites, wouldn't that be a sign that the employees fucked up? So, they think the housekeeper and nanny should be fired? Apparently, they weren't doing their jobs. So, way to go communists, trying to get working people fired.

The Content Cop itself could have just been called "Sour Grapes". There are other motivations, but it's really obvious that Ian is seething with jealousy. Ethan has money, power, an audience. Any time he brings up employees, lawsuits, and Ian not wanting to defend Ethan, The things that makes him angriest about the button is that it cost twenty grand - Anisa could have got a whole new hideous tattoo with that kind of money! Ian is so angry that Ethan has these things that Ian and Anisa wish they had. It's one of those cases where "jealousy" actually is the reason. Everything else is secondary.

The fact that Ian and Anisa are diving headlong into more financial problems due to their own incompetence just underlines how pissed they are at being "poor" and irrelevant.

I'll stop derailing, but that's a better way to say what I was thinking. He clearly had some sort of problem with Ian, and it vanished because he asked publicly? Could Hasan Piker have avoided "NO, IN REAL LIFE!" by asking Sam to leave him alone? Could Anthony Fantano have prevented the release of multiple death threat laden diss tracks by asking Sam to ignore him instead? He just seems uncharacteristically lenient to Ian after a year of open hostility. To me, it smells a little fishy. I guess the common reaction here is to take it as proof of Sam's moral code, which isn't an outlandish theory by any means. Im not convincing anyone though, so back to A-logging Glass Johma for me.

I'm really surprised that it didn't get mentioned more how he implies that the reason that his unwatchable podcast gets no traction is because he doesn't engage in harassment campaigns. No, it's because you're fucking boring and preachy. Conversely, he implies that the reason that his initial response to h3 got so many negative comments was because h3 was brigading him (another one of his "harassment campaigns," I suppose). No, it's because everyone who knows about you and Ethan and who isn't a Hasan ball washer thinks that you acted like a pathetic, spineless coward.

Of course, this backfired spectacularly, so it's possible that the Jomhas have abandoned this tactic. Then again, the fact that they thought it might work in the first place shows that they just aren't that smart.
