Exactly this. Even beyond the horrid choices made to alienate potential ticket buyers and the fighters on the card, this event would've been a dud from the offset due purely in part to The Johma's abject refusal do their jobs as promoters. For fuck sake, Deadlock Pro Wrestling was an indie promotion made by three gaming youtubers, none of whom have an audience size that comes even a tenth of Ian's, and they've managed to keep it going for four years!

For as grimey as Sam can be, I think part of him genuinely does feel bad for Ian. Even though Ian tried to put out a hitpiece on him he continued to reach out to him in good faith, the only thing he really focused in on when he'd razz him in his streams was Anisa, and he did say he'd stop talking about them if Ian asked him to, honestly maybe one of the kindest things Sam has ever done.

The weirder thing is Ian not bringing up anything about Markey or the various other allegations Channing made against Sam, It certainly seemed like that was something Sam was anxious about in the interview they did. True or not you'd think Ian would have at least tried to fight fire with fire by bringing more mainstream attention to some of the stuff floating around about him for years.

Sam sees himself in Ian. The both are/were politically incorrect trolls that accelerated to the top of youtube through their own creativity and comedic abilities. They have questionable relationships with their fathers. They have a infatuation with art/alt hoe pussy which is often a trap. Sam got dumped by his art hoe before she could eviscerate his soul. And Sam still seethes over this dumping, so he projects hate on to Anisa (even though she earns it in a lot of ways). Sam also has a need to father lost young men, even though he isn't much older than Ian, he is miles away more mature and wants to give Ian grace and help him along.
 
Probably has already been posted in here, but don't let Harley bravely defending the heroes of the IDF with his withdrawal from this event distract you from the fact that he's an opportunistic snake that threw Sam and Froggy under the bus last year and went full JIDF on anyone shitting on the event even after it came out the whole thing was in the red. Had the Content Cop throughly BTFO'd Ethan like Ian thought it would, and more importantly Harley was (((compensated))) properly, he'd still be a company man for Creator Clash.

Also side note but there's something really fucking funny about a guy who's whole career was built off of cooking a grotesque amount of bacon and constructing other non-kosher culinary warcrimes is now a full throated Zionist.

The thing which first made me curious was Ian's video where he asked Sam to leave him alone. There was a section where Ian started dictating terms like a victorious general. It didn't last long, and the video still made Ian look pathetic as fuck. But there was something about "Oh and by the way, don't try to get around this with a loophole. You can't just start describing me as a goblin, and constantly trashing goblins. That's not gonna work." That's from memory, so it's probably far from accurate. But it was something along those lines.
If it were me, I wouldn't have kept my word after that. Sam graciously offered him mercy, on the condition that he humiliated himself by publicly asking him to stop saying unkind things. Dictating terms in that situation goes against the spirit of the request completely, and to me it implies that iDubbbz has some sort of leverage. Maybe he blackmailed Sam with the Markey stuff or something. Maybe I'm just wrong and Sam simply got bored like other Kiwis are saying. I just find it all very strange.
