I used to watch some of Tony Jefferies' videos when I wanted to learn how to box, but his involvement with CC makes me second-guess him. I'm looking at his record now and he's 9-0. To anyone who doesn't know much about boxing, 9-0 is a good record, but it's what you would expect from an amateur, not a professional world title boxer. You should also look at the people he's fought.

Btw - if using Boxrec you can click on "box-am" to check his amateur record. 15-7. Does it really matter? No, its amateurs, any experience is good. He's meant to have a lot more, which I believe, this was well before everyone had a camera everywhere on their phone to record.

He did make it to the semi finals and got a bronze medal. Did get to bypass straight from the draw into the round of 16 and fight twice before losing in the semis to Kenny Egan - who controversially lost the finals (had the misfortune of fighting the Chinese fighter in the Chinese Olympics - IIRC Paddy Power paid out all the bets that had him winning anyways because it was that suspect) himself retired as an amateur. (as in just did amateur boxing and never went pro). Some guys are like that - they are great amateurs, can't make the pro transition. This is why they feed some of these guys cans. Can see this with current boxer Ben Whittaker - silver medalist but has not made the adjustment to pro and they have matched him appropriately (which instead of binning them he's taunting against cans - really stupid).

But I believe after the injuries he figured he would make more money going and opening up a place in LA to do boxing training. It is more a boxercise class when I last checked in CC2 but I think he knows his stuff.

In regards to Idubbbz he rented a guy called "Bonafide Boxing - Michael Briggs", who as far as I remember only offered privates. So it seemed Idubbbz was doing privates and being charged hundreds of dollars instead of doing what a normal person would do and just find a normal gym to go to. He probably did a bit of work with Jeffries but it was Briggs as his main cornerman.
