What is wrong, if you look at a prepubescent girl in a short skit and want to sexualize that, because even if you call it out as wrong, it outs you as a pervert who only sees the sexual side of that.
What other side of it is there exactly? Why else would a parent buy slutty clothing other than sexualization?

Even if you somehow mental gymnastics your way into justifying it there's still the practical matter of it attracting dangerous attention, so maybe in your ideal libertarian utopia it'd be okay but in reality it's just a good way to get your kid killed.

Like I get why I might come across as schizo for this but a bikini on a toddler is both performatively modest and unnecessarily sexual. Somehow.
Huh, that's true actually.

I think its the parents and child slaves to TikTok trends. Sometimes while out, I see a ten year old holding the latest iphone, with a Starbucks in the other hand, Gucci handbag, A Chanel t-shirt tied at the waist, miniskirt, and face full of makeup. Like a 22 year old celebrity just got hit with the beam from de-ageify raygun. It's almost comical looking to me

Kids in heavy makeup look so weird and uncanny to me too. A bit of lipgloss or something is fine. I wore some crappy tween makeup free from Sabrina’s Secrets magazines in the late 90’s when I was around 10. It was clearly for tween girls, some glitter hair gel or lip gloss. You rarely see teenagers in bad makeup now.

There's a whole thing about girls getting into skincare routines after being influenced by tiktokers except because they're young, its harming their skin. I'm sure skincare obsession, heavy makeup, and filters are doing wonders for the self esteem of girls.

My cousin and her felon boyfriend used to dress up their son in "Won my first race" shirts with the sperm on it. I always found it trashy and whenever I brought it up, she would get mad and go "OMG TAKE A JOKE." I dread what she's dressing her daughter in, but I don't see her anymore since I cut off all contact from her since she would constantly lie, steal shit, and her son is destructive.

Yeah, back then I didn’t think “I must change the entire shape of my face” it was. “Yay, glitter is pretty”

I saw a video not too long ago about the death of tween culture and how it's contributing to the adultification of young girls. Young girls don't have that step between child and young adult anymore the way they used to.

1. Two-piece bathing suits are easier to pull down for bathroom purposes. There are infinite styles for girls that are “bikinis” but not skimpy. Showing midriff for swimming is fine. I’ve never seen IRL an actual skimpy bikini on a girl under high school age. Please separate real life at a local community pool or country club from things that outrage you on the internet.
2. Kids’ clothing in America is made for Amerifats. Girls who are tall and slim will inevitably have shorter shorts than their fatty peers, and no I’m not going to force my child into unfashionable granny-style Bermuda shorts just because some freak gets a boner over her skinny childish legs. She has a dad with balls and money for a good lawyer.

I can tell you that, for most people, a proper skincare routine starts in the kitchen with a proper diet.

I was thinking about this the other day. What happened to tween Disney shows/musicians? They just kinda stopped after Miley Cyrus.

Edit: I guess Jojo Siwa was the last tween idol but now she has grown up

Childhood obesity is an epidemic and this is just one out of many reasons why.

Doesn't make sense, it sounds retarded because clothing sizes are explicitly given (so don't give small children medium-sized clothes and vice-versa), but I believe it.
Idk, have you ever tried shopping while fat? It's not easy for fat kids to find clothes that fit either. I think clothes are cut to the average body, so both unusually fat and unusually skinny kids have trouble with clothes. There's also the issue of clothes being cut to look good on a model or on a mannequin but not an actual human who isn't tailoring their clothing.

There is the issue of damaging children in the entertainment industry, but surely there has to be some way to create shows for teens and tweens without letting Dan Schneider molest everyone on set

Do you remember what video? I've had conversations about this exact thing.

children are raised by moms who use tiktok/instagram and the moment they turn 10 get a phone with tiktok/instagram themselves, and on social media every woman dresses like a whore. it's "cool" to wear ass leggings or short shorts and shirts that barely cover your tits. it's also why there's like 11 year old girls in middle school making twerking videos for their tiktoks or vines or whatever.

Skintight leggings for 12 yr olds is disgraceful
I think the only exception would be if they were being used underneath a dress or skirt for modesty reasons, like this:

No child should be put in a fucking crop top and short shorts. I'm sorry. I'm not the freak for saying it. I would never set my child up for failure and low standards by doing that to them. They can dress themselves in shit outfits like normal kids, and have fun doing so.

I would beat my daughter if she tried walking out of the house at 12/13 with some of these outfits.
