Obama's government declared elections to be part of the nation's essential security infrastructure, putting the management of election security under the DHS. Identification is very basic security. They could try to overturn this, but the downstream consequences would be something worth considering for the security state.

You can't walk more than 50 yards without running into a store like this in most places. If you walk down the street in a populated Mexican area, what you will notice is everyone is cramming junk food in their faces all the time and drinking gallons and gallons of soft drinks. There's this old meme video that I didn't save of some one putting together this disgusting mix of ramen, chips, takis, sauces, cheese, just massive amounts of slop and everyone assumes it's American, but it's Mexican. Out here, Jungle Jim's, greatest grocery store in American, there's just so much Mexican and Central American stuff that's just sugary and slop, it's wild. South America seems slightly better, but they all seem to love pop and juices and sugar. And Tajin, which I don't understand, it's not good, what the hell am I supposed to do with it? I've tried, God knows I've tried, but what the fuck Mexico.

Payroll Taxes (SS, Medicare, FUTA) are harmful regressive taxes. The first $7,000 of a wage is taxed 21.3%; then 15.3%, but 0% after ≈$175,000. These taxes are made less visible by putting them on the business's accounts and automatic withholdings.

Removing all payroll taxes and replacing them with a 15% national sales tax would be more progressive and reduce income inequality. I say that not because I think sales tax is good (I dislike it actually), but to highlight how horrible the Payroll Taxes currently are.

The denial of reality that has been going on for decades is impossible to maintain. We are entering the pressure point that forces change.

East coast. I don't think you have an understanding of how bad this is and how common what I described is, nor the influence of social pressure on children's habits and their trust in authority figures at school.
I've only experienced it in relation to my siblings kids so far, but I've talked to a lot of parents who have dealt with it and it caused huge issues with their kids even though they were eating well at home the junk they were getting outside the house was enough to cause a noticeable decline in health.
It is a big deal and it takes a lot to address without making your kid neurotic. If schools served actually healthy food that still tasted good and the zeitgeist was that shit food was for special occasions only and you're a knuckle dragging loser if you eat it all the time it wouldn't be as much of an issue.
But the vast majority of people feed their kids shit. On average 60% of food kids in the US are eating is ultraprocessed by total caloric load. You can say you don't care about those people, but those people are the majority and it is the norm.
That is the issue.

The quote from the American manufacturer that the dropshipper got is likely what it costs to make a single showerhead as a one-off because there is a 99.99% chance that this guy doesn't buy any inventory and just forwards customer orders directly to the manufacturers. If he ordered 10,000 showerheads at once, he would pay a fraction of the price.

Also, the most difficult to manufacture part of the dropshipper's filtered showerhead, the filter, is only made in the US:

I believe it. On the rare occasions I drag my incel gamer chud ass out in public by far the fattest people I see are the Mexicans. Even the little spiclets are sphere shaped.
