Imagine being a shittier parent to your children than a government cog was (and in the GAL’s case, IIRC it’s an unpaid volunteer position). I have no idea how Nick and Kayla can live with themselves. I've wondered before if maybe this is why the kids do so many extracurricular activities. The part that's actually weird and funny about the Monty and criminal prosecution arcs is that they are Nick getting exactly what he asked for in a monkey's paw kind of way. He wanted to be able to talk about the litigation from the inside, and now he's right in the middle of a bunch of litigation.

Unfortunately the timing doesn't work out for that. The Media LLC folded long before Minnesota had those protections.

It was just sloth on Nick's (or Ty's) part. We noted ITT when it lapsed and was renewed (and then later lapsed).

The weird thing with Monty's suit is he filed it against Nick and his law LLC. Nick's conflating of himself, his defunct law firm, and his defunct media empire just makes it a mess. (I presume they didn't go after Rekieta Media LLC because 1. it was in Texas and 2. it was defunct.)

Above said, there are a lot of good reasons to put your streaming career (or any personal business) into an LLC. Especially when you're a slack-jawed drunken idiot spewing ill-informed "facts" on the internet. Unfortunately for Nick, he's opted not to do that.
