Regarding Gamers Nexus' tarriff coverage, the tone of the video is consistent with GNs pro-consumer point-of-view: tarriffs = stuff will be more expensive -> bad for the consumer, in a "here and now" sense. It is notably divorced from the forward-looking goals of the tarrifs which should eventually make things better for American consumers, but that does jump into political territory that Steve probably didn't want to tackle then and there. It's also the meatiest coverage on tarriffs I have seen anyone do so far. Steve has businesses show their own spreadsheets with numerical teardowns on the impact the tarriffs have on them. It's not shitheads on Xitter screaming about the doom and gloom they think tarriffs might do. With how close GN and Steve are on the pulse of the enthusiast tech industry, it's not surprising that he reflects the frustration like the guys at Hyte feel, I don't think it's him catching TDS.
