Sympathy for Mr. Jomha continues to go down and I can't blame anyone for it but I've had the opposite evolution since I started reading this thread. I used to say he was a big boy and his mistakes were his own while Anisa was just a small piece of the puzzle, first part is true but now I also see that he is completely owned by her and whoever she wants to suck up to at the moment. The man can't even refuse to buy expensive clothes for himself that he doesn't want if Anisa decides that she wants him to buy them, or to disagree with her on small mundane topics like jeans hurting tattoos that are still healing more than sweatpants without her lecturing him and condescending to him until he says she's right and apologizes, and laughing at him for disagreeing. I'm a broken record on this but it is truly a nightmarish existence, and no, he was not always like that. This isn't a case of Anisa unmasking him, she has straight up broken him. Yeah he was always an insecure, petty manchild aspie but he had self-respect and was fairly smart and funny and principled (or at least was very good at acting like it). He's gone from acting like a sped in public for a skit and joking around with McDonald's employees to admitting that he has a hard time talking to people without Anisa's "help" ffs. It's just sad. I know objectively he deserves this but I can't help but feel bad for that retard. She really did a number on him and it seems like no one was there to tell him that she was a shitty girlfriend considering how his own mother helped her get him back when he wisely decided to break things up, and no one's there to tell him that she's an even shittier wife. Speaking from experience when you're going through something like Ethan is going through with multiple people attacking you for a slightly differing opinion it can be traumatic enough to cause weight loss. It's stressful.
