While I have some sympathy with the chick, and there’s no doubt somebody should have said: “Now just hold on here!”, what she leaves out is that the “gender questioning community” have created an atmosphere where trained professionals are scared to do anything but hand out prescriptions without asking questions.
An average endocrinologist likely has decades invested in his career. And a student debt they’re likely still paying off in their 40ies.

Community announcement for the pooners: if somebody being told you are trans shatters their illusion of you being a man, you do not pass.

I do not consider myself the epitome of maleness or manhood. I'm a moderately effeminate homosexual, in fact. Because they can see I am male and the only way to be male is to be born male.

As you'll see, this one calls herself "genderfluid", but she's a they/he, always calls herself a "boy", and hates when the horny straight dudes on her account remind her that she's female, so she's no less of a pooner:
The childish cringy language used is what made me want to post this the instant I saw it. This is one of the most egregious cases I've seen that isn't from of them that's openly, explicitly into the whole DDLG thing or writing shota AU fanfic.

The bizarre, but arbitrary scenarios that pooners craft in their heads never cease to amaze me. Especially those thought up by the minority that are actually, in at least some way, trying to be "masc". This sort of lunacy is per usual for them, I'd never have thought that they'd come up with this. I'd say that it's like AGPs carrying menstrual products, in case they come across a girl who needs one, but at least I can see where they're coming from with that.

It’s more nuanced than that.
The jurisdiction I live in, for example, the government publishes a list of endocrinologists and other specialists that are willing to see said patients. Not all do; and it still needs a referral from your gp.
So in effect you need a trans friendly gp to refer you to a trans friendly endocrinologist, etc…
Used to be this was learned via word of mouth; now you can speedrun through the process.
One local endocrinologist even uses the local media to educate on these issues. Both the government list and media postings are what I call marketing.
