The person doing the PSI likely had the access and time to put together a rather comprehensive picture of Nick and his behavior during the entire legal process from start to finish. They also had access to all the family court records and the information associated with his chemical and behavioral evaluations from that process as well as any testing failures. There would also have been his driving record and the still unpaid tickets. Then there were the letters from Kayla and his father which IMO did him a whole lot of damage through their lack of any remorse argument and their obsession with Nick as a hero fighting for freedom.

Then worst of all for Nick, they probably interviewed him. I'm sure he told the person the "full story" of what happened that he has been promising to tell us. And worst of all, the person doing the PSI might have looked at Nick's social media and streaming activity over the past year. In particular his comments on judges, his attacks on law enforcement & CPS and his general argument that he never did anything wrong.

In court, Nick is just an occasional item on the docket. But if someone starts to document in a PSI a comprehensive portrait of Nick, it would really create an impact.

What's the over/under on times Aaron was mentioned in this interview? A dozen?

Can't believe actual justice has been served. Praise the Lord! Last time I felt this way was ironically watching Nick stream the Rittenhouse verdict.
 
Even if he doesn't actually serve the jail time, 5 years probation and 80 hours of community service is still in excess of what I and many others predicted.

Really, it's the probation that will fuck him in the end. I don't think he'll make it. The fuse has been lit.

There is a statement about "deferral" of the jail sentence mentioning the probation department. I'm not exactly sure what that means but Sean could still be correct.

Nick must have interviewed like shit at his PSI. I agree the letters probably did him zero favors and kind of point in the "cult leader" direction more than anything.

I'm really interested to see if it ends up being "30 days of time deferred to August 1st if he behaves" or if it's "we get to come back on August 1st to see if Nick was a good enough boy to avoid 28 days in jail". Knowing nicks track record of interpretations - the judge probably theoretically has the power to waive the sentence before 8/1 so Nick is coping that it's totally gonna happen, just you wait and see. The order seems to say the first thing pretty clearly, but MN seems to have a way of not exactly saying what they mean.
